A low hum issued from his mouth, and suddenly the luminous aura surrounding Han Li expanded by nearly a factor of two. Then a beam of white light shot forth from his sleeve—precisely the snow-white fox formed by Yin Yue. "Time is too tight; we'll split up and search for that item," Han Li said swiftly. A pale golden sphere floated into his palm amid the thunderous sound, and without hesitation, he threw it over his shoulder. "Crack!" The sphere instantly transformed into a network of electric lines, settling upon the body of the white fox. "Remember! This divine lightning will not last long. As soon as you sense any weakening, return to the ground immediately. I'll be back soon," Han Li said seriously. "Yes, Master. Though I must confess, I do not know what the magical marrow drill looks like. I have never seen it before," came a pleasant, melodic voice from the fox, warm and clear. "The magical marrow drill is dark as ink, resembling a crystalline stone. Its internal magical energy is remarkable and quite easy to recognize," the Great Sovereign of Daxian replied before Han Li had even finished speaking.
"Then it's settled. I'll go first." The white fox nodded, her silver glow flashing as she vanished into the stone platform.
In the palm, a black and translucent crystal had appeared, only the size of a thumb, appearing delicate and refined. "Indeed, as I had anticipated, a magical essence crystal has truly formed here. Your fortune is truly remarkable. This is no ordinary treasure—back in ancient times, it was a long-sought-after treasure, something rare and hard to find." The Daxian Divine Sovereign chuckled warmly. "Is that true? This thing is truly so precious?" Han Li lifted the crystal to his eyes, narrowing them as he observed it closely. Now, he had the time to examine it properly. The crystal emitted no light at all, instead appearing deeply dark, almost as if it could draw a person's soul into its depths. Han Li felt a sudden sense of alarm, quickly shifting his gaze away. At that moment, the silver glow on the stone platform beneath him flickered, and the white fox, shimmering with a faint golden hue, suddenly shot upward from the platform and plunged into Han Li's protective aura. "If you don't return soon," the fox said, "I'm going to summon you personally!"
I had thought you would return before me. Have you also gathered something worthwhile?" Han Li raised his foot, and with a wave of his hand, a shimmering patch of azure light instantly lifted the small fox and brought it directly before him. The white fox said nothing, merely opened its mouth to exhale three dark, translucent crystalline objects—what could they possibly be, magic essence drills or something else? "Good work," Han Li remarked, somewhat surprised, then his face brightened. The white fox smiled warmly, a truly human gesture, before suddenly vanishing into the sleeve, leaving no trace. Han Li placed the three crystals beside his own, then reached into his storage pouch and retrieved a jade box, arranging the four magic essence drills side by side. "This time, we must go." Han Li said calmly. Then, a surge of electric arcs rippled outward from the outer shield, followed by a growing roar as the shield slowly lifted and drifted upward. When descending, Han Li moved slowly; yet when ascending, he did not move any faster.
After hovering upward for a full minute, Fan Li finally saw the hazy luminous veil again—having completely failed to utilize any of the de-magic relics provided by Wei Wuyi and his companions. In an instant, he passed through the veil and finally broke free from the magical aura. Turning back to gaze at the veil behind him, Fan Li retrieved the Divine-Defeating Thunder, and the golden arc instantly dissolved completely. Yet he did not immediately head upward. Instead, he calmly studied the veil, then reached into his storage pouch, where a small, partially broken green banner appeared in his hands.
"Wait a moment! Isn't this—the very Yin Luo Banner from that day?" silver Moon exclaimed in surprise, clearly impressed. "Though the Yin ghost and its associated demon have been entirely eliminated, the banner itself remains largely intact and is a rare magical artifact. I've tried it before—it can absorb ghostly energy to heal women on its own. The magical banner given by the former Héhuān Demon actually reminded me of this."
Magi and spirit energy are both the most yin essences of heaven and earth, and to some extent, they are mutually compatible. With such a rich and pure flow of magi energy here, it's perfect timing to test whether this banner can be restored. Even if it fails, that would be nothing to worry about," Han Li said calmly, then raised his hands, causing a surge of bright green light to envelop the small banner instantly. The light swiftly transformed into a streak of green brilliance and plunged into the surrounding magi energy.
Han Li examined the spirit of the Yin Luo Sect elder who had been slain and naturally knew how to activate this banner. As a precious heirloom passed down through generations of the Yin Luo Sect, it could not possibly require blood to establish a bond with its master. Though classified as a divine artifact, it was a powerful artifact that could not be personally bonded to a single wielder—once held, it merely needed to be refined and could then be used immediately.
At Han Li's incantations, a large circular opening, several feet in diameter, appeared on the banner's surface. With the steady flow of阴wind within, the dense magic energy that had gathered around the perimeter instantly found a release point and surged violently into the newly formed hollow, flowing ceaselessly.
Han Li was delighted by this sight—the banner indeed absorbed the surrounding magical energy.
As the banner drew in substantial amounts of magical energy, it rapidly repaired its surface, visibly restoring itself. Not long afterward, the entire banner appeared refreshed and renewed, though its original vibrant green hue had now transformed into a strange, mixed tone of green and black.
Han Li watched the banner absorbing the surrounding magical qi, his eyes flashing with surprise. He had expected that once repaired, the banner would immediately cease its absorption. Yet now, the Yin Luo Banner seemed like an endless abyss, never stopping. However, he had noticed that the green hue on its surface was gradually fading, while the black glow grew increasingly vivid and intense. Observing this, Han Li hesitated slightly, yet remained motionless, standing at a distance and gazing steadily at the banner. Eventually, after absorbing countless amounts of magical qi, the Yin Luo Banner finally emitted a deep, resonant hum, and its numerous holes suddenly vanished, restoring a state of calm. At this moment, the banner now shone uniformly black and lustrous, its brilliant black glow appearing tangible. Han Li then promptly pointed at the banner, and instantly, it shrank rapidly within the black light, re-emerging as a concentrated beam of black energy that shot forth and landed precisely in the palm of his hand.
After carefully examining the palm-sized object in his hands, Han Li nodded in satisfaction and stored it away. He would try it out later, when the opportunity arose. Since he had already delayed for so long, he couldn't afford any further delay and immediately expelled dozens of flying swords, breaking through the spiritual energy above and ascending into the air. When Han Li transformed into a streak of azure light and shot out of the great vortex, Wei Wuyi and the others appeared calm and composed on the surface, though their occasional glances subtly revealed growing concern—fear that Han Li might encounter an unforeseen mishap, and thus they had not yet set up the array. But upon seeing the streak of light emerge, all three breathed a collective sigh of relief, knowing that the attempt had likely succeeded. "Friend Han, how did it go? Was the journey smooth?" asked Zhiyang the Elder with a smile. "I'm fortunate to have fulfilled my mission—everything has been properly arranged," Han Li replied with a gentle smile. "Excellent. Then let me try it out."
Wei Wuyafa gently brushed his hand over the bag, and a similar array disc materialized in his palm. Holding the disc in one hand, he manipulated a series of incantations with the other, murmuring several indistinct spells. The white luminous glow on the disc flickered continuously, then radiated out delicate streaks of vibrant five-colored light, resplendent and splendid. "Excellent! The array disc is indeed complete. We can now immediately issue invitations to the other cultivators to come and repair this array. With this disc in place, we no longer need to worry about sudden surges of demonic energy. Friend Han has done a truly commendable deed this time!" Wei Wuyafa chuckled heartily, clearly delighted. "Since the matters here have been settled, I shall now return. I have several pressing affairs to attend to. Here are the four anti-demonic treasures for you three." Han Li gently tossed each of the four items to the three recipients, speaking calmly. Upon hearing Han Li's words, the three recipients exchanged glances with one another.
"Why so eager, Friend Han? Why not stay with us for a few more days on our Seventh Spirit Island before making your way onward?" Master Zhiyang spoke gently.
"Thank you, Brother Zhiyang for your kind offer. However, I truly have matters that must be attended to, and I cannot afford to delay." Han Li shook his head, a touch of regret on his face.
"Since Brother Han indeed has urgent affairs, then we shall not detain you any longer. Wishing you a smooth journey!" Wei Wuyi bowed respectfully.
"Then I shall be off."
Han Li calmly bowed to each of the three, then said no more. A bright azure glow surged from his body, transforming him into a vivid, dazzling streak of light that pierced through the air and swiftly vanished into the distance.
The highly refined wooden spirit infant, which had been considered a second immaterial embryo, was now nearing the final stage of assimilation. Once the last few steps were completed, it would fully mature.
Immediately after reviewing Nangong Wan's condition, Han Li entered the inner chamber and began a prolonged period of seclusion and cultivation that would last for several years.
Following a series of significant events, the southern realm of cultivation entered a period of stability, with each sect and guild now diligently nurturing its disciples, entering a phase of consolidation and strengthening.
