"No, your wind dragon has shrunk considerably." Han Li suddenly frowned, turned his head, and roared at the black-robed beauty. In fact, the beauty had already sensed something was off on her own. Upon hearing Han Li's words, she was instantly startled, pressing two hand seals. As the wind blades from the dragon's mouth ceased, they surged forth with a roaring sound from the glowing orb, spiraling once before hovering motionless in the air. Indeed, both wind dragons now appeared nearly half their original size. The once-fragmented light orbs, shattered into pea-sized pieces by the wind blades, re-coalesced instantly as the dragons took flight. Now, the massive orb spanned over thirty zhang in diameter, nearly occupying one-third of the confined light shield. Within the orb, the silver-winged night warrior emerged, holding the Xie Yue Huang Jing, his face radiating a cold smile. Seeing this, Han Li sighed. This very situation he had encountered during his battle against the Sixth Dao's young master back in the Turbulent Star Sea.
Wen Tianren at that time employed a special artifact that allowed him to hide within a cluster of purple clouds, slightly distorting the space around him, rendering his flying sword ineffective. Eventually, he managed to break through the barrier and sever the opponent's arm only through the sheer power and force of his Yin Mo Slash. It seemed that the silver-winged night warrior was also utilizing a similar technique, though undoubtedly more refined than the sixth-Path junior master. However, Han Li, who had been primarily occupied with his own cultivation, had not yet fully refined his Yin Mo Slash. Nevertheless, using a similarly powerful technique should be sufficient to overcome this spell. Unfortunately, his Qingzhu Fengyun Sword could no longer form the Da Ge Sword Array. Otherwise, once the silver-winged night warrior was trapped within the array, even if the glowing orb were as strange as it might be, he would surely perish. After forming his judgment, Han Li instantly devised a plan. He took a deep breath, then struck his palm against the storage pouch, and with a simple hand motion, a crimson scroll suddenly appeared in his palm.
The talisman is aglow with flame-like characters that pulse continuously, and a faint, miniature red dragon appears and fades in and out—indeed, a spirit-summoning talisman. This talisman was crafted by Han Li while refining the Three-Flame Fan, using the essence of an eighth-rank crimson fire dragon he had captured along the way. As a result, it took a little longer than expected, nearly causing him to miss the gathering with the wealthy elder, Fu, and others at the Poison Valley. Having gained experience from the previous attempt, this one is significantly superior in quality and possesses far greater potential in terms of magical power. With a decisive motion, Han Li pressed the talisman against his body, and it instantly vanished, absorbed into him. A spectral dragon form materialized behind him and immediately settled upon Han Li. Within a moment, he was transformed into an unusual half-human, half-dragon form, his body glowing with a radiant red hue and adorned with red scales. His magical energy surged immediately to the peak of the Yuan-Ember stage. "Friend Han!" "Ah!"
Clearly, whether it was the dark-robed lady or this silver-winged night-fighter, both were astonished upon seeing the form that Han Li had assumed—neither had ever witnessed the Spirit-Calling Seal before. The silver-winged night-fighter, in particular, saw Han Li's cultivation level surge and immediately lost his mocking expression.
At the same time, with a mere mental gesture, he cast a spell toward the giant sword.
A thunderous roar erupted! Suddenly, a golden arc the width of a human arm surged upon the sword, enveloping the entire blade in countless electric arcs. Golden light spiraled and radiated outward, accompanied by continuous thunderclaps.
As precisely when Han Li triggered the divine, pestilential lightning, the snow-crystal pearl struck the hilt of the giant sword. After a flash of purple light, the pearl vanished into the hilt. Instantly, an eerie purple flame spread from the hilt along the sword's shaft, intertwining with the golden arcs and shimmering like a celestial artifact.
Seeing this, the silver-winged night-warden grew increasingly distressed, his fur even beginning to pale.
Now, the massive orb had occupied nearly half the space on the light screen, forcing Han Li and the black-robed woman to drift slowly backward. Yet, upon gazing upward at the giant sword, the black-robed woman's expression of astonishment surpassed even that of the silver-winged night-warden, her thoughts racing with urgency.
Under such a devastating assault, even a cultivator at the late Yuan-Ying stage would surely dare not meet it head-on.
"Break," said Han Li coldly, as the beautiful woman was struck dumb with shock.
The great sword plunged downward, resonating with a thunderous roar, and simultaneously emitted a golden blade glow stretching several zhang in length.
Even before making contact with the luminous sphere below, the sword's spiritual pressure caused it to tremble incessantly.
A flash of gold, and the sword descended in a single, decisive strike—immediately shattering and dispersing the sphere with the surge of spiritual energy.
When the light faded, the figures within the sphere were entirely gone. In their place, the silver-winged yaksha now appeared in the sky some distance away, frowning darkly at the great sword.
Though the yaksha had ultimately been unable to withstand Han Li's attack under the sword's overwhelming pressure, he had managed to flee using his silver wings just as the sword descended.
However, his demonic moon mirror had ceased its emission of light, and his cultivation technique had been forcibly shattered.
Thus, after the great sphere was destroyed, it could not be restored to its former state.
The Silver-Winged Night-Devil's eyes flashed as he pondered which divine technique to employ next, when suddenly a sharp crackling sound erupted behind him. Instantly, a streak of red light materialized a few zhang away, flashing swiftly and piercing his forehead. The Silver-Winged Night-Devil's powers rivaled those of a late Yuan-Ying stage cultivator, and his awareness was equally formidable. Though the red streak appeared unexpectedly, the Silver-Winged Night-Devil, without turning, merely shook his body and intercepted it. To his surprise, a tremendous boom echoed—his defense was struck by the red streak, which instantly transformed into a massive fireball and exploded. He was startled! Yet as he soon realized that the fireball was merely superficial, posing no real threat, his mind relaxed. However, upon the firelight dispersing, the interior of the fireball was completely empty—the red streak had vanished without a trace. The Silver-Winged Night-Devil paused, about to use his awareness to search more closely, when a thunderous roar rang out before him. His great sword leapt into the air and descended once more, striking him head-on.
The black-clad beauty also summoned her spell from afar, and by some unseen means, two wind dragons soared up to the flying corpse's sky. After a graceful spiral, they shook their heads and swayed their bodies, then opened their mouths to unleash a dense barrage of wind blades.
At this moment, the silver-winged night warrior could no longer focus on anything else. With a swift motion, she set the Xie Yue Huang Jing gently before her, then pressed both hands firmly into the air, reaching toward the great sword. Instantly, two massive hands formed from strands of sha hun energy appeared in midair—each as large as a zhang—fierce and unwavering, they raised their fists to block the great sword.
Now was not the time to assess the great sword's strength merely because it had been motionless before. She had to gauge its power now.
At the same time, the silver wings of the night warrior expanded dramatically, forming a broad silver shield above her head.
A series of sharp "popping" sounds followed, as the wind blades struck the shield and were easily deflected to the side.
As the great sword made contact with the massive hand, it emitted two thunderous crashes—the sword, wielding astonishing power, cleaved one of the hands in two. However, its blade strength weakened slightly, and when it struck the second massive hand, both parties were forced to recoil, now evenly matched. At the very moment the sword struck the second gray hand with a tremendous sound, the vanished crimson line suddenly reappeared, precisely at the chest of the silver-winged night warrior. "Unfortunate!" the silver-winged night warrior exclaimed, rushing forward with urgency to grasp it—but it was too late. The crimson line flashed once and pierced the evil moon illusion mirror with a soft "pffft," then instantly caught by a swift hand, moving with lightning speed. Meanwhile, the black mirror shattered with a sharp "crack," instantly dispersing into a swirling mass of black light. "You dare destroy my sacred mirror!" the silver-winged night warrior exclaimed, his body trembling with shock and his face blazing with furious indignation.
This precious mirror seemed to hold a special significance for it—so much so that even the flying needle caught in the hand of the attendant, blazing fiercely and turning as red as a hot iron, went entirely unnoticed. Han Li was momentarily stunned. His original intention in launching a surprise attack on this mirror had been quite straightforward: the combination of this mirror and the monster's illusion proved exceedingly troublesome, and a single decisive strike would be far more effective. Now, facing the silver-winged night-warden's fury, Han Li found himself somewhat puzzled, yet his hands remained unrelenting. With a swift gesture, the once dim golden great sword shattered with a thunderous "boom," instantly transforming into a vast network of swordlight that surged forward in a unified, sweeping cut. He showed no mercy whatsoever. Should the opponent dare to deflect with its silver wings, he would not hesitate to employ flying swords infused with Bing essence, instantly cleaving the foe into countless fragments. Meanwhile, the snow-crystal orb spun gently, and several fiery phoenixes, shaped like fists, shot out from its surface before drifting down softly.
Yet even though the Silver-Winged Night Fury was extremely enraged, it did not fall for Han Li's assault and instead, with a mere movement of its silver wings, materialized at a completely different location, glaring at Han Li with fierce intensity, its silver eyes gradually turning blood red. "I originally intended not to waste my refined essence, merely to employ a phantom technique to capture you both helpless. But now I've changed my mind—I will personally seize you, extract your soul, and then slowly devour it, bite by bite," the Silver-Winged Night Fury declared, its face filled with stern determination.
At that moment, a deep rumbling echoed from beneath the ground, causing the entire spell array to tremble violently. Streams of yellow light and dark energy surged upward from various points of the array, while deep below, a silver-winged yaksha let out a piercing, agonized roar, as though in excruciating pain.
The black-robed woman's expression remained uncertain. She glanced at Han Li, then down at the spell array beneath. After a moment's hesitation, she clenched her teeth and suddenly shot toward a gray cocoon.
On her way, she raised her hand and launched a knife-shaped artifact. The artifact shimmered brilliantly, radiating an unmistakable sharpness!
—— Sixth Volume: Celestial and Divine Treasures
"By the time the blade was released, it transformed into a streak of golden light. Clearly, the woman intended to use it to first rescue the wealthy elder before proceeding further."
Han Li, however, frowned deeply.
Rescuing someone was certainly commendable, but to personally fly off and suddenly increase the distance between himself and her—wasn't that rather risky?
As the golden glow approached the giant cocoon, a sudden "thud" echoed from beneath the ground, and a green figure shot upward, materializing in front of the cocoon. With bare hands, he casually extended his arms, sending out several clawed beams that instantly sent the golden scissors flying. Initially, Han Li and the black-robed woman both assumed this figure was the silver-winged night warrior. However, upon the light fading and their faces clearly revealed, they were both astonished. The green figure turned out to be a human with a wolf's head, his eyes blazing crimson—exactly the massive corpse-wolf they had seen earlier. Yet, somehow, a mysterious spell had transformed him into a humanoid form, and his body had shrunk dramatically, his fierce expression now fixed upon the black-robed woman. What caught Han Li's particular attention, however, was the absence of the shadow-horse that had previously been resting atop the wolf's head. Had the spirit creature remained beneath the ground, or had it vanished somewhere else? Han Li immediately thought this through, his blue glow flashing in his eyes as he instinctively scanned the surroundings.
The result was immediate—her face paled, and she shouted in anger, "Watch your back!" Then, without hesitation, she snapped her fingers, launching十余 streams of jade-green sword energy toward the black-clad woman.
Perceived as existing without any trace of breath or presence. The divine awareness swept past, as if it were merely a form of ethereal substance.
As soon as this creature manifested, it immediately raised one hand, its body remaining still while the arm suddenly expanded several times in length.
From the black, sharp claws, golden light surged several inches long, and with a single motion, it seized the jade shield that had just appeared behind the beautiful woman.
The shield, as soon as it materialized, rapidly expanded in size and radiated intense luminous energy, appearing utterly unbreakable.
Yet an astonishing phenomenon unfolded!
The silver-winged yaksha regarded the shield as though it were nothing, and with a flash of golden light on its arm, the sharp claws silently pierced through it, gripping firmly onto the protective luminous aura of the dark-robed woman.
A crisp, shattering sound followed, and though the claws momentarily paused, they effortlessly tore the aura apart like crumpled paper.
With a soft "pffft," the claws plunged into the woman’s chest, pulverizing her heart before easily emerging through the other side.
Han Li observed this, and his heart sank.
To be brought close by such a
At that moment, a jade-colored sword aura surged from afar, only to be dispersed by a sweeping motion of the silver-winged night monkey's dual wings, which enveloped it in a shimmer of jade and white light. However, Han Li's rescue efforts were far from wasted—his timely intervention had secured a precious moment for the beautiful woman. As the light on her forehead briefly flared, a small, inch-sized immortal embryo appeared there. This embryo, resembling the woman in every way, held a sword of about an inch in length in both hands. Almost immediately, it flashed its red glow anxiously, instantly teleporting several dozen feet away. With a few more such swift movements, it could easily escape. Yet the silver-winged night monkey now sneered, suddenly throwing the body aside and vanishing into the air. A faint human figure then materialized beside the embryo, and as soon as it opened its mouth, a gray silk net burst forth, precisely enveloping the embryo just as it prepared to teleport again. "Friend Han, save me!"
The beautiful woman, still in her Yuan婴 stage, was greatly startled, urgently shouting for help to Han Li while skillfully maneuvering her flying sword, repeatedly striking against the web. If her physical body were still intact, she might still have a chance to cut through the silk net and escape. But now, with only her Yuan婴 remaining, her magical power greatly diminished, and encountering the deadly soul-silk that absorbs the five elemental energies, she was naturally bounced back by the threads.
"The massive net you've laid beneath your head—now you can remove it." Han Li's expression remained unchanged, simply adding, in a calm tone, "Did you notice that? It seems you truly can see through my illusion, not by mere chance. " A flicker of surprise crossed the silver-winged night warrior's face. At a height of over ten zhang above its head, the gray net suddenly materialized, its presence concealed so perfectly that one would have thought it never there. The very nature of the technique employed by this foe remained unknown—how could he conceal such a vast net with such flawless subtlety? Had Han Li's clear and refined spiritual vision not reached a high level, the deception would have been entirely successful. Even without this net, Han Li likely would not have taken decisive action. The current form of the silver-winged night warrior was indeed unusual. Not only could it perfectly conceal the corpse-like aura emanating from its body, but its wind-based technique had also grown noticeably more refined, approaching the point of moving so seamlessly with the wind that it could almost vanish entirely. Without his keen spiritual sight, the opponent might have remained completely undetected even as he approached.
Moreover, the silver-winged night-fighter had managed to easily penetrate the black-robed woman's defensive artifact with his single strike—this surprised him deeply, and left him even more puzzled. Seeing Han Li not fall for the trick, the night-fighter coldly exhaled and raised his hand, summoning the humanoid尸wolf. The wolf immediately took flight, arriving at Han Li's side within moments, then twisted its head sharply, glaring fiercely at Han Li. Yet at that very moment, a tremendous roar erupted beneath Han Li—none other than the Ti-Hun beast suddenly charging and displaying its full strength. Throughout the battle, except at the very beginning, Han Li had used his divine awareness to keep the beast calm and motionless. Now, as the silver-winged night-fighter soared above, the beast had been unable to act, growing increasingly frustrated. Upon seeing the尸wolf approach, it now boldly snapped its teeth and bared its fangs in an unceremonious display. Upon hearing this, the尸wolf instantly grew visibly startled, retreating and hesitating in its gaze toward the Ti-Hun beast.
At the same time, the silver-winged yōkai observed this, his expression darkened. Yet after a few quick movements of his eyes, he suddenly opened his mouth and expelled a round, gray orb. Seizing the orb in his hand, he threw it back with a reverse motion, and it landed precisely into the great maw of the corpse wolf.
The shadow-wolf swallowed the orb and immediately surged forth waves of gray vapor, its corpse aura intensifying dramatically, dispelling its earlier hesitation and shrinking.
Han Li paid no attention to these developments, instead seizing the opportunity to gaze at the green shield of the black-robed beauty.
The artifact, now bereft of its master, hung motionless in midair, its surface emitting a faint green glow, as smooth and pristine as ever.
Han Li furrowed his brow, then shifted his gaze to the pale golden scales adorning the silver-winged yōkai. Suddenly, his expression brightened, as though recalling something.
At that very moment, the silver-winged yōkai suddenly raised his head and emitted a long, sharp roar. Then, with a swift motion, he vanished into the wind.
Meanwhile, the corpse wolf roared loudly
Ti Hu spun his head without a thought, and a surge of golden mist erupted from his nostrils. Although the Shi Lang, after manifesting his luminous orb, had greatly diminished his fear of Ti Hu, he still dared not draw near the golden mist at all. Instantly, his form blurred and then resolved into several shimmering phantom figures circling rapidly around Ti Hu. Due to his reduced size, the Shi Lang's evasive light moved with astonishing speed, yet the golden mist could not quite keep up. Still, the Shi Lang hesitated to approach Ti Hu closely, for the latter's alert nostrils continuously emitted beams of divine light, which formed a luminous veil enveloping the Shi Lang's massive body. His two large fists also darted and swayed incessantly in all directions. With Ti Hu's colossal frame, these fists naturally carried considerable force, and even a single impact from the Shi Lang's corpse-embodied form would likely prove overwhelming. Thus, the two remained locked in a tense standoff. Meanwhile, as Ti Hu was engaged, the Silver-Winged Night Spear and Han Li darted and flashed in the sky above, pursuing and retreating like spectral figures.
Behind Han Li, electric arcs wrapped around his feathered wings, the thunder roared without cease, and his form appeared at seemingly random locations—sometimes on the west, then suddenly on the east just moments later. He might have been soaring high above, and then, in the next instant, materialize at a height of several feet off the ground. Even more astonishingly, the silver-winged night warrior employed some unknown technique: his flesh wings shimmered with a pale blue-white glow, making his form appear intangible and nearly imperceptible, yet he consistently trailed Han Li's lightning flight, never losing sight of him.
Suddenly, when Han Li's figure reappeared once more in the sky, he did not immediately sweep away with his feather wings. Instead, he suddenly touched a snow crystal orb before him. Instantly, the orb spun rapidly, releasing vast streams of purple flame in all directions. At the same time, the dozens of golden small swords swirling around his body erupted into brilliant swordlight, fully enveloping the area within ten or so zhang.
A thunderous roar surged forth, followed by successive waves of swordlight, violet flames, and golden arcs, radiating brilliant flashes that instantly engulfed the golden light shield. First chapter!
