"Then," Han Li murmured, lifting his head toward the ceiling of the cavern, as though completely immersed in thought. Originally, the ceiling of the cavern had seemed to have been pierced by the cultivators of Gui Ling Sect, yet after more than a century, there was no trace of any subsequent restoration work visible. Seeing Han Li's distracted demeanor, the clansman with the Meng surname remained silent and composed, never letting his expression waver. Suddenly, without any prior indication, Han Li swept his sleeve gently, and a wave of azure light instantly enveloped the clansman's head. Startled, the clansman remained motionless in his thoughts until suddenly his eyes rolled back and he lost consciousness. Han Li glanced at the clansman lying unconscious on the ground, then, without hesitation, quickly flicked his fingers at the magical array behind him. A series of golden sword-like energies shot forth. With a tremendous roar, the array shattered under the impact of the swordlight and vanished completely, leaving behind a deep crater in the ground.
Since the magical array on the Star Sea side has already been repaired by him, there's no longer any need for the array here. Otherwise, if others possess the Great Translocation Scrolls, they could also travel to the Star Sea. Han Li intends to keep this shortcut under his own control, sharing it with no one at all. He has a thorough understanding of the construction of this array and can reestablish it at the original site whenever necessary. After all, with his current financial resources, the substantial material costs originally incurred—almost astronomical at the time—have long since become manageable. Following this, Han Li raised his hand and, with a single motion, reached out to the fallen Han man lying on the ground. A powerful suction force seized the man's head, and then, with a flash of keen light in his eyes, he began to cast a secret spell. Only after a while did Han Li release his fingers, setting the named Han man down on the ground, and spoke calmly, "You've been fortunate. I've always kept my word."
"Though I won't kill you, anyone who has witnessed me stepping out of the ancient teleportation array will have that memory erased," Han Li suddenly cast a spell, instantly altering the other man's recollection. Now, the Han warrior only remembered a previously unknown high-level cultivator descending from the sky, striking down the others in a single blow, while the ancient teleportation array was accidentally destroyed by the shockwave of the attack. Given Han Li's current cultivation level, unless a Cultivator at the Huashen stage intervened, no cultivator could possibly lift the seal he had placed—thus, he felt entirely confident. After completing these actions, Han Li released several fire balls, reducing the bodies of the Mag-Yan Gate cultivators to ashes. Then, a vibrant cyan glow radiated from his body, lifting the young girl behind him and transforming her into a streak of cyan light that surged upward. A thunderous roar followed, and the ceiling of the cave, restored by the Gui-Ling Gate, was pierced and shattered. The cyan streak flashed once and then soared to the surface. After a graceful spiral and several swift glides, the figure vanished completely.
Without mentioning the other Ghost Spirit Sect cultivators, how astonishing it was that they managed to re-find the unconscious Mr. Meng within the cave, and how the Magmatic Flame Sect's surprise assault on the Ghost Spirit Sect, which had been planned to unfold with great momentum, unexpectedly collapsed. Yet Han Li had already taken off swiftly toward the Xiu Kingdom. With Han Li's current cultivation level, his flight speed was naturally extraordinary; though he did not fully exert himself, the speed at which he moved was still astonishingly reported. Along the way, some cultivators occasionally encountered him—those who had just moments before seen a streak of jade light flicker several times in the distance, now found that same light suddenly appearing far behind them, only to hear a faint rushing sound at that very moment. Naturally, these cultivators were all startled. Those of higher cultivation recognized the presence of a great master or senior cultivator, and felt deeply awed, while those of lower levels were left bewildered, doubting whether they had stumbled upon a supernatural occurrence during the day. Han Li eventually flew out of the Yue Kingdom and entered the territory of the Yuanwu Kingdom several days later.
After flying for two days across the Yuanwu Kingdom, Han Li suddenly remembered something, hesitated slightly, then transformed his light and, with Tian Qin'er beside him, suddenly shot off in a new direction, temporarily altering his route.
Near a mountain peak on the periphery of the Yuanwu Kingdom, a flash of azure light appeared on the horizon. A brilliant azure streak, stretching over ten zhang in length, burst through the sky and reached the mountain's summit within a moment. As the luminous aura settled, Han Li and Tian Qin'er stepped into view.
Han Li glanced down at the mountain peak, his face expressing a touch of nostalgia. Then, as his spiritual awareness swept downward, a look of surprise appeared on his face.
This was the mountain where Xin Ruyin had once lived in seclusion. Though it seemed unchanged on the surface, the area where she had once resided now buzzed with the presence of numerous cultivators—mostly from the Qi and Foundation stages, with two or three practitioners at the Condensation stage.
Yet some of Xin Ru Yin's spell arrays and seals still remained, and thick white mist spread throughout the lower area, making it impossible to see clearly what was happening inside. Han Li narrowed his eyes, silent and thoughtful.
"Master, has something happened?" Tian Qin'er blinked, asking carefully from beside him.
"Nothing much," Han Li replied calmly, "It's been some years since I last came, and I hadn't expected so many unexpected visitors here." But the young woman immediately sensed a subtle displeasure in his expression and wisely chose not to press further.
Still, as Han Li turned to gaze at her, he suddenly asked a question that surprised her:
"How do you think of this mountain?"
"This mountain?" Tian Qin'er looked around the small hill, puzzled, and said hesitantly, "The qi here is somewhat good, though the scenery isn't outstanding."
"Oh! This was once the residence of an old friend of mine!" A brief flicker of disappointment passed over Han Li's face, but it quickly faded, and then he raised his hand.
A soft "pffft" sound echoed, and suddenly, a glowing red orb of fire materialized.
Then, amidst Han Li's impassive expression, the orb spun continuously on his palm, swelling in size at an astonishing pace. Within the span of a single breath, it grew to the size of a large basin—remarkably so.
Han Li glanced coldly at the ground below, raised his hand, and with a motion, the orb transformed into a radiant red glow, cascading downward like a meteor streaking through the sky, vanishing in a flash upon impact with the mist.
The surrounding mist surged violently, and with a thunderous "boom," a surge of fiery clouds erupted within the white vapor. The waves of flame rolled outwards, forcefully breaching the seal and carving out a gaping hole over ten zhang wide, continuously expanding, while the white mist gradually melted and dispersed.
The entire seal had been shattered—by nothing more than a single fire orb, effortlessly accomplished with a simple gesture.
As the white mist dispersed, the landscape below gradually came into view, with one after another pavilions and towers densely clustered throughout the area. The bamboo pavilions built by Xin Ruyin years ago had vanished entirely. Han Li frowned at this development.
Yet, given the commotion Han Li had caused, all the cultivators present were immediately awakened and quickly noticed the two of them floating motionless in the sky. Instantly, several dozen cultivators launched themselves into the air on their respective vehicles, heading straight toward Han Li.
At that very moment, a clear and resonant voice suddenly emerged from a cliff face below:
"Which esteemed master has arrived at our Huayu Sect? I, Guan Qing, have been negligent in welcoming you." As the words settled, a flash of red light shot out from the cliff, arriving at Han Li's side before any of the Foundation-level cultivators could reach him. The light faded, revealing a middle-aged cultivator dressed in scholarly robes.
This was precisely the Qi-Jian-level cultivator Han Li had sensed.
From the very highest eaves of the lower pavilion, another sphere of yellow light surged forth simultaneously, matching the speed of the red light without a single moment's lag. After flashing several times, it swiftly approached, revealing an elderly man with broad, dark skin and a robust, imposing frame.
This was clearly another Qi-Condensation stage cultivator.
At this moment, the Foundation-stage cultivators had just arrived nearby, standing behind the two figures with solemn dignity, as though they were following the scholar and the elder like a procession.
He indeed possessed a strong spiritual awareness, instantly detecting the unhidden aura of Han Li's cultivation level, which caused him to be deeply startled.
"An immortal stage cultivator?" The scholar was equally stunned and cast his own spiritual senses over the scene.
Han Li, in turn, stood with his hands behind his back, calmly observing the two of them.
When the scholar had also completed his spiritual scan, his expression did not improve at all compared to the elder's. Immediately, the two exchanged glances and, almost simultaneously, advanced to pay a deep bow. The elder then spoke with great courtesy:
"Esteemed master, we are honored to have you here! Our sect is a relatively new one, having only recently established itself. We would be most grateful if you could kindly instruct us on what you might wish to see accomplished. Should you have any orders, we shall do our utmost to fulfill them."
The scholar likewise displayed a demeanor of profound respect, trembling before a cultivator whose mere gestures could easily extinguish their entire family. Indeed, the very act Han Li had just performed—breaking through the seal—was far from auspicious.
Then, the group of Foundation-stage cultivators, seeing their master and senior master suddenly transformed into this state and hearing the words of the Post-Immortal Stage cultivators, grew restless and soon everyone grew visibly tense, unable to breathe steadily, their expressions filled with cautious apprehension. After all, for these junior cultivators, Post-Immortal Stage cultivators were nearly the pinnacle of human cultivation—something everyone dreamed of achieving.
"This sect moved here seventy years ago. As for the people who originally lived here..." Hearing this, the elder paused, and glanced at the scholar. Upon hearing Han Li's question, the scholar was equally astonished, but immediately turned and shouted without looking back: "Feng Zhi! Come here, the elder has something to ask you!" As soon as these words were spoken, the group of Foundation Stage cultivators all turned their attention to one of their number. An elderly man in his sixties, with a refined appearance. Feng Zhi, the cultivator by this name, now looked equally surprised. (First update!)
