Just as Han Li and the Saint-Grade Magus Monkey had finally reached the point of direct confrontation, within one of the maze-like passages of the swirling magical aura, the delicate young crystal族 woman and the shimmering image of the azure麒麟 were protected by a dark, solid light screen. At a distance of over ten zhang from them, there stood a solid black stone wall—clearly the end of the passage, with no further path ahead. "This must be it!" the image of the azure麒麟 flashed its gaze with confidence. "Qiyin, don't make a mistake. The array banner used to activate the spiritual sanctuary is one-time use, and I've only managed to craft a single set with some difficulty." The young crystal woman spoke with cautious assurance. "You're right—be careful. Just wait a moment." The azure麒麟 tilted its head, then agreed. Suddenly, it opened its mouth and expelled a round, jade-like orb. As the orb spun smoothly, it instantly transformed into a stream of azure mist that rolled toward the opposite stone wall. An eerie scene unfolded.
After vanishing swiftly into the stone wall, Qing Xia suddenly heard a deep, resonant howl emanating from within the wall just moments later. Then, a flash of dark glow rippled across the wall's surface, and a powerful force pushed the azure light back out, propelling it from the stone. In a flash of luminous energy, Qing Xia gathered the light and instantly reformed it into a single bead. "No worries now! Indeed, this place is perfect!" With a joyful expression, the azure unicorn opened its mouth, swallowed the bead once more, and said with bright excitement. "Excellent. I'll immediately set up the spell array and activate the spiritual passageways!" Upon hearing the miniature unicorn's assurance, Feng Xin also beamed with delight. Then, she swiftly flipped her hand, and suddenly a stack of pre-prepared azure banner flags appeared in her grasp. Though these banners appeared ordinary at first glance, upon closer inspection, they revealed a refined design—embedded throughout their surfaces were dense networks of fine silver and gold filaments, resembling layers of spider webs. Feng Xin gave her wrist a gentle shake.
Dozens of jade glimmers shot forth like streams of light, yet midway, they suddenly converged toward the center.
In an instant, a jade spell array several zhang in size materialized out of nowhere and then flashed, vanishing into the opposite stone wall.
Yet the stone wall remained utterly unchanged, with no trace of disturbance whatsoever.
Xianxian, as if anticipating this, seemed completely unconcerned, and with a simple gesture of her hands in the air, she produced one blue small bell in one hand and a white jade scepter in the other.
The bell was translucent and within it, a shimmering blue liquid glowed softly, radiating a striking beauty. The scepter, however, was ancient in style, its surface dull, even slightly worn.
The crystal maiden glanced at the two treasures in her hands with a touch of regret, then suddenly threw both hands forward.
At once, a surge of blue light and a swirl of white light shot out, spiraled through the air, and then collided with each other.
With a tremendous crash, the two treasures seemed to shatter like porcelain, sending out countless fragments in all directions. When the light subsided, two liquid masses—one blue and one red—appeared in the void, floating silently. The nearby miniature qiyi shadows observed the two forms and their eyes gleamed with a hint of greed, which quickly faded as they restrained themselves. Yet, they could not help murmuring softly: "This rare essence of the eight-limbed immortal beast and the phoenix, which you've nearly depleted your entire fortune over several centuries to gather, has nurtured within these two extraordinary treasures for over a hundred years. If consumed directly, it would be sufficient to revitalize your physical body at the cellular level—your very essence renewed. Even my spirit would greatly benefit." "Our crystal clan differs from ordinary clans. The true spiritual blood has far less impact on me than you might imagine. Indeed, even though true spiritual blood is precious, it cannot compare to the benefits derived from the true spiritual sanctuaries themselves." Xin Xin remained exceptionally composed. "Heh, that's quite true!"
Your Crystal Clan's constitution is indeed quite unique—only the essences drawn from the True Spirit Sanctuaries prove truly beneficial to you. Using them as keys to unlock the Spirit's Blood is, quite frankly, our only recourse. After all, you and I are merely companion beings. Without the True Spirit's refined blood, we simply cannot summon the Sanctuary Spirit to appear and then settle into slumber. For any being outside the True Spirit realm, opening the True Spirit Sanctuaries is no easy feat. Qi Ying smiled softly, agreeing with this. The Crystal Clan woman smiled and then said nothing further, swiftly flicking her ten fingers. A series of spell techniques shot forth, vanishing instantly as they entered the two pools of liquid. Upon absorbing these spells, the liquids began to spin rapidly and then suddenly converged, merging into a single, spherical mass of blended blue and red hues. With a delicate point of her fingers in the void, the sphere gently drifted toward the stone wall.
Deep within the stone wall, the roaring sound once again settled into a deeper resonance. At the same moment, a flash of emerald light rippled across the wall's surface, and the previously concealed emerald spell array emerged. Within the array, characters began to unfold and, after a slight rotation, a cascade of emerald mist surged forth, enveloping the blue-and-red sphere. Then, the entire array shimmered once more and vanished back into the stone wall.
Qian Qian also grew tense, issuing a sharp, delicate cry, and swiftly urged her hands.
The previously vanished azure light array reappeared, yet only flickered briefly before dissolving. In its place, a blue-red liquid sphere remained motionless in the void.
As though awakened by the movement of the azure light array.
Dai Fan's expression shifted, and her tightly closed eyes slowly opened, revealing eye sockets as dark and luminous as the night sky.
She gazed intently at the blue-red true spirit blood before her, then suddenly extended her entire face forward and swallowed the liquid sphere in one go. Her face then flashed with a blue-red glow, revealing a satisfied, serene expression.
After glancing once more at Qian Qian, she opened her mouth wide, and it rapidly expanded, nearly reaching the size of her face.
Then, with a flash of light, her broad face solidified into a white stone, and her expanded mouth transformed into a deep, white channel, slanting downward toward an unknown depth beneath.
"Done!"
The spirit of the hole has already fallen asleep—we had better hurry in!" Qi Ying exclaimed with great delight. On her face, a visible excitement shimmered as well. Nodding promptly, she didn't waste a single moment. With a swift flick of her sleeve, she instantly wrapped Qi Ying in a scroll of motion, then launched forward, transforming into a streak of brilliant light. Duan Guang merely flickered at the entrance before vanishing completely.
"My earlier warnings and seals have been activated—the two indeed came straight for the True Spirit's core. Good. Very good. That means I won't have to expend my own opening power." The man with the surname Gui spoke with a stern expression. As he spoke, a surge of bloodlight erupted, transforming into a blood-hued arc and shooting straight through.
It seemed his bloodlight cultivation possessed a unique technique—upon contact with the magical aura, the magical energies instantly recoiled and spiraled away, vanishing within moments.
Not long after Gui's figure had entered the magical aura, a flash of silver light appeared in the nearby void, and a slender figure materialized there.
It was the young woman, Jiu Ye.
She gazed at the turbulent flow of magical aura, her face filled with astonishment.
"Such a dense concentration of magical aura—only the senior figures seem capable of this. Could it be the secret sanctuaries of the Iron Mage or the Blood-Arm clan?" she exclaimed, her expression wavering before finally stomping her foot and transforming into a streak of silver light, vanishing into the aura.
As a high-ranking wyvern, she only grows stronger in the magical aura, and thus need not fear at all.
...Han Li stood in one corner of the hall, now bearing an additional gleaming golden head on each shoulder, and simultaneously, four more golden arms emerged along his ribcage.
Each of these four arms held one of four golden, radiant weapons—staff, pestle, wheel, and ruler—arranged so that they crossed in pairs, each pair夹ing a large, solid fist.
The four weapons trembled slightly in the air, emitting a low, mournful sound, as though struggling under great strain.
The surfaces of the two fists shimmered with dark waves, occasionally sending out surges of energy that surged directly downward from their surfaces.
Yet, upon striking the translucent, crystalline barrier that shimmered just before Han Li’s body, the energy split evenly and passed through from either side, unable to make any impact at all.
Farther up in the upper air, the two golden insect-like armor forms, each resembling a fist, circled and darted around a cluster of purple-tinged, fading blades, constantly chasing one another.
As soon as the broken blade moved, it inevitably split a streak of purple, cleaving one of the gold-devouring insects away several dozen feet. However, the other insect would immediately close in to bite, forcing the blade to temporarily retreat. Though formidable, the blade seemed unable to land two consecutive strikes, and its body appeared somewhat fragile, easily succumbing to a few bites from the insects. The insect that had been severed merely shook its wings and continued flying with no apparent concern. In terms of agility, the blade, as it maneuvered between the two insects, might even outperform them. Its purple blade streaks were swift and hard to withstand. Yet, just before each attack was launched, it would always pause slightly. Consequently, even if the blade intended to shift its focus and strike directly toward Han Li, the two insects would press closely, using their bodies to continuously block and intercept it, leaving the blade completely unable to break free.
