This skeleton, save for a pair of eyes glowing with vibrant purple light, bore no flesh or muscle. As its limbs danced wildly, low, resonant incantations issued from its mouth, accompanied by piercing, shrill cries. Suddenly, the other thirteen skeletons around it also raised their heads and emitted sharp cries, surging forward and vanishing in a wave of black mist into the central skeleton. In an instant, the skeleton expanded dramatically in size, and every inch of its bones began to shimmer and undergo strange transformations. A thunderous roar followed, and the skeleton grew to a height of seventy to eighty zhang, enveloped in swirling black magical flames—like a celestial demon from beyond the heavens had descended. Yet, upon close inspection, one could be struck by astonishment: embedded prominently in the thick bones of its chest were thirteen small skulls, each only a few zhang in diameter—exactly the forms of the other thirteen skeletons that had transformed into them.
More astonishingly, after a long, resonant roar, the colossal skeletal form emitted a series of crisp, cracking sounds from its back, instantly manifesting twenty-six distinct, slender white bone arms. Each of these arms held different bone-bladed weapons—swords, spears, halberds, and axes—shifting them with a mere motion and sending waves of magical winds surging forth, black flames swirling and roaring with immense power. This unified, towering, grotesque skeletal entity was precisely the Mother Magus of the Thirteen Mother-Son True Magi. Unlike the conventional method of cultivating this magus technique, the Blue Abbot had chosen to use his own body as the furnace and vessel, successfully transmuting it into the form of the Mother Magus. This approach naturally allowed his own cultivation to advance significantly, granting him numerous additional magus abilities and eliminating the risk of his Son Magi reversing and attacking him. However, at the cost of this transformation, should he suffer a severe injury, there was a rare and perilous risk that his consciousness would be gradually corrupted by the magus essence, ultimately becoming a permanent, immortal Mother Magus.
Had it not been for the fact that the Blue Sovereign, witnessing Han Li's extraordinary prowess far exceeding his expectations—especially in weaving socks—had found the situation growing critically dire, he would never have transformed into the maternal demon's form. Once fully merged into the maternal demon, the Blue Sovereign's mind was instantly overwhelmed by the aura of slaughter, his initial apprehension toward Han Li vanishing completely. He then emitted a strange, gurgling laugh and, with a sudden burst of force, opened his mouth wide, spewing out a powerful gust of magical wind toward the distant giant ape. This wind roared with icy intensity, spreading out in a gray, misty wave that enveloped everything. As the maternal demon tilted her massive head and shifted her body, she instantly dissolved into the wind, vanishing without a trace. At that moment, the golden-mantled giant ape, having thrown several mountain peaks with forceful strikes, had already shattered most of the nearby peaks, leaving only the mountain where the maternal demon had stood intact. Only then did he turn his gaze toward that spot and catch sight of the surging magical wind. Without a word, he simply opened his mouth wide and hurled the two mountain peaks directly in front of him.
With two thunderous roars, the two towering peaks of deep azure color stabilized in front, rapidly expanding in luminous radiance until they rose to over a thousand zhang in height, indistinguishable from ordinary mountain peaks. As the magical wind swept past, it struck the two peaks without hesitation, dispersing waves of cold air. One side of the mountain face instantly became translucent, forming a thick layer of crystalline ice. The giant ape stomped its foot, and with a gust, its massive body leapt onto the summit of one peak. With blue glimmers in its eyes, it carefully scanned the opposing magical wind. Yet in the next instant, the ape suddenly roared in fury, raising both hands and swiftly striking the wind with lightning speed. Countless golden fist-images materialized and surged toward a precise point within the magical wind. A strange, gurgling laugh erupted.
A surge of magical wind simultaneously manifested countless immense blade streaks. As the light flashed wildly, blood-red runes shimmered faintly within the blade streaks, gradually cleaving through what seemed an unbreakable golden fist formation. The blade streaks made no pause, rushing straight toward the giant ape's body.
Though the blade streaks were indeed strange and sharp, they only produced a dull, rumbling sound as they gradually collapsed and vanished upon striking the insect bodies. Given the exceptional hardness of these mutated gold-devouring insects, few things in the world could truly destroy them—nor could the blade streaks be an exception.
At that very moment, however, a massive vortex suddenly appeared above the giant ape formed by Han Li. Then, a colossal black silhouette descended from the sky, preceded by waves of black flame surging out from the swift movements of twenty-six massive bone blades.
The maternal demon, transformed from the Blue-veined Sovereign, finally emerged and launched a surprise attack on Han Li.
Yet the giant ape appeared to have anticipated this development, showing no signs of alarm. Instead, it suddenly inhaled deeply, and black energy rippled across its body. From within, a dark, armored suit emerged, glowing with shifting black radiance, and countless black runes surged forth, fully enclosing and protecting the ape.
Then, with a sudden, vigorous twist of both hands and a sharp upward thrust, countless massive golden arcs shot forth, forming a vast lightning net that surged toward the sea of darkness.
A thunderous roar echoed as the black magical flames met the golden arcs—seemingly counteracting each other and extinguishing half of them—but the enormous bone blades did not hesitate, charging straight toward the giant ape’s head and cleaving through it with decisive force.
The giant ape suddenly broke into a fierce, grim smile, releasing a surge of golden light from its back, and instantly a golden, three-headed, six-armed phantom emerged, its six arms sweeping out simultaneously, each sending a golden orb into the air.
The six golden orbs flashed and converged in the space above the giant ape, then, with a resonant hum, merged into a single, golden vortex of about one acre in size—exactly the grand feat known as the "Golden Vortex" from the Buddha Saint’s True Magic.
Amidst the striking golden radiance, a faint green silhouette also darted out from the giant ape’s back, vanishing into the surrounding magical mist.
At that moment, as the golden spiral light spun wildly, wave after wave of golden light surged forth. The twenty-six massive blades flashed and instantly struck these golden waves. The golden waves merely reversed their course, enveloping all the blades within, and then, with a low cry from the three-armed, six-limbed phantom behind the giant ape, a powerful suction emerged from the waves. Under this force, the blades trembled violently, then, with strange cries, shot out from the ape's hands and were completely engulfed by the golden waves. Han Li's transformed giant ape paused in surprise—such a seamless capture of the blades far exceeded his expectations.
In an instant, a colossal bone lotus materialized, entirely composed of crisp, white bone plates. Dense runes shimmered across each petal, radiating an eerie gray glow. As the bone lotus spun once, countless beams of light surged forth like a storm, violently slicing through the surrounding golden waves and rushing straight toward the golden vortex. Yet this vortex—mastered only after Han Li had fully realized his True Divine Magic Power—could not simply be broken so easily. The three heads of the golden phantom murmured incantations, while its six arms performed a series of intricate gestures, darting swiftly into the vortex. A powerful roar erupted within the vortex, and the surging golden waves at its core intensified dramatically, soon engaging in a fierce standoff with the gray light blades emitted by the bone lotus!
The mother demon, upon seeing her attacks fall short, had her purple eyes flare with intensity, seeming to grow more agitated. Her twenty-six arms suddenly snapped toward her body, each drawing out a thick bone, which, as it swayed in the wind, transformed into a sharp bone blade. Then, with a sudden movement, she charged straight down again at the giant ape.
The emerald glow emitted by these skeletons, though unable to wound the purple-striped beetle, carried an eerie potency that momentarily prevented the gold-devouring insects from directly breaching the attack, causing them to become entangled and temporarily stuck.
At this moment, the golden phantom that had remained in place suddenly ceased its incantations and halted the gestures of its spellwork. Its body radiance dimmed, and its form instantly solidified into a bright, golden physical form.
A black mist surged from the head of this golden body, revealing a black infant spirit several inches tall. This spirit bore a striking resemblance to Han Li, both in appearance and demeanor. With both hands cradling a short purple blade, it gazed coldly at the mother demon high above, then exhaled a sharp breath before subtly vanishing back into the cranial dome of the head.
At that very moment, the three heads of the golden form stirred, and golden glimmers surged simultaneously across the six eyes. As one arm flipped and turned downward, the previously held purple broken blade—originally cradled by the black immaterial embryo—materialized with a flash, now enlarged by more than ten times in size. With the three heads gently swaying, the incantation flowed continuously, while the other five arms, in a series of graceful movements, scattered golden glyphs from their palms. The purple broken blade flashed, and concentric rings of five-colored radiance began to ripple across its surface. Almost at the same time, a surge of fundamental cosmic laws flooded the entire void.
