The small figure formed by the King of the Gold-Eating Insects, witnessing this scene, showed not the slightest intention of holding back, and his ten fingers flew once more with rapid succession. A fresh band of crisp, crystalline light surged forth. This time, however, before it fully dissolved into the black wind, a voice of furious rage erupted from within—suddenly, a colossal, shimmering blue blade, over a hundred zhang in length, was cleaved straight through. The blade was strangely shaped, slightly curved, resembling neither a sword nor a knife, yet upon the sound of a thunderous crash, an intense, surging cold radiated across its surface, creating an astonishing display of power. The King of the Gold-Eating Insects merely stared at the blade with a composed, impassive expression. At that moment, the originally emitted crystalline light instantly intensified, merging into a unified stream of radiant light that stretched over fifty zhang, forming a dazzling arc of light and thunder. As soon as the two entities made contact, the crystalline light and the cold aura flashed simultaneously, emitting a sharp, crisp "pfft" sound. The blue blade was instantly severed into two halves at its center. The crystalline light proved astonishingly sharp
With the obstruction of the crystalline light gone, a mere flash of movement saw him毫不犹豫ly plunge once more into the black wind. A thunderous cry of shock and outrage erupted, and the black wind instantly surged into a roaring gale, rising skyward like a hurricane. Amid the hurricane's howling, countless crystalline lights flashed incessantly, ultimately cleaving the gale apart.
A tremendous crash echoed. A massive figure was struck by the crystalline light, then launched backward into the black wind. After wobbling several times, he finally steadied himself at a distance of over a hundred paces.
It was the fearsome giant formed by the Immortal of Unbroken Heaven!
Yet at this moment, he was utterly disheveled—wounded all over, with one entire leg missing, and his massive bone shield, once held in hand, now missing a significant portion, shattered and incomplete.
Gazing at the small figure in the distance, the giant's expression, beyond sheer fury, was deeply filled with apprehension—nearly bordering on fear.
Though the Heavenly Sovereign who had suffered such a severe blow was greatly wounded, upon raising his colossal form and letting out a long, resonant roar, all his injuries began to fade at an astonishing pace. Even the leg that had vanished earlier burst forth with countless blood threads, which swiftly wove themselves back into place.
The King of the Gold-Eating Insects narrowed his luminous eyes, lifted his arm, and with a single finger pointed at the giant.
A sharp, continuous "shush-shush" sound erupted!
Suddenly, countless intangible sword-like energies burst forth from the void around the giant, shooting outward from all four sides toward the center.
At the same time, the small figure lightly moved and drifted forward, floating toward the opposite side.
The giant's face changed, and he roared in anger, then slammed his fist against his chest. Instantly, a layer of black crystalline light surged rapidly across his body surface. The white bone spines on his body trembled and detached, shooting out like white sparks, which then met and absorbed the intangible sword energies spreading around.
Meanwhile, the giant himself hurled the broken ancient shield he held, forcefully striking the small figure who had approached.
The bone shield emitted a resonant hum, transforming into a wheel of gray-white light and shooting forth. As the giant twisted his body, a faint blur appeared and then vanished from its original spot. At the same moment, in the void hundreds of paces away, a ripple surged, and the giant's form shimmered into view once more. "Boom!" A small figure raised his fist slightly, and with a single motion, shattered the bone shield hurled toward him. A flash of cold resolve passed through his eyes, and then he surged forward as a streak of crystalline light, aiming directly at the distant giant. The Immortal of Unyielding Heaven felt a tremor in his heart. He glanced down at his leg, which was still reassembling and streaked with blood—only halfway complete. With a firm jaw, he shifted his position once more, instantly teleporting to a new location. The figure formed by the King of Gold-Eating Insects did not intend to let the opponent escape. The crystalline streak curved and pursued relentlessly. One figure, evading and teleporting repeatedly to avoid the blow, the other, pressing forward without pause—thus, the two found themselves in a tense standoff.
At this moment, the three-quan Daoist on the other side had just finished expelling the character "ten," but upon seeing the giant ape standing calmly across the vast expanse, gazing at them with cold indifference, their faces instantly turned pale. "It's impossible! That blood toxin is overwhelmingly potent. Even an immovable body would be unable to advance beyond three steps if struck by it. How can you possibly be unharmed?" The young Daoist looked utterly alarmed, unable to believe what he was seeing. "A mere trace of blood toxin is simply dreaming of defeating me—what a fool's hope! Nevertheless, the little snake managing to pierce my flesh is no ordinary feat." With a fierce, grim smile, the giant ape lifted the finger that had been bitten and, with a lightning-fast motion, pressed his furry hand firmly against it. "Pffft!" A dark streak of blood erupted from a barely noticeable, faint tooth-mark on the fingertip. The strange venom of the serpent had been instantly expelled from within Han Li.
Originally, with the strength of Han Li's transformed body, even if the blood poison truly spread throughout his system, he would merely feel slight discomfort—nothing serious. Moreover, he had previously cultivated the Wàn Dú Hún Huán Body, specifically designed to counteract rare and potent poisons; thus, these blood poisons could do him absolutely no harm.
Han Li, witnessing this scene, had no idea that the other party intended to cast an exceptionally powerful secret technique. The giant ape, its eyes flashing with fierce light, suddenly launched a punch straight at the lofty pavilion overhead. As the furry fist struck out, the sky above instantly dimmed, and an invisible spiritual pressure surged forth like a storm, rushing directly toward both the pavilion and Huang Yuanzi. At that moment, Huang Yuanzi cried out in a sharp, piercing voice, his body momentarily glowing with blood, countless fresh crimson threads bursting from his skin. Then, with a sudden leap, he transformed into a faint blood-silhouette and instantly vanished into the pavilion. A thunderous roar echoed out. The space where the pavilion stood rippled like ripples in a still pond, and the storm of spiritual pressure, taking the form of a gale, pierced straight through, sweeping across hundreds of zhang before finally dissipating with a fading flash of power. "A technique of transformation!" The giant ape was slightly taken aback, a brief expression of surprise flickering across his face, but immediately snorted and chuckled, then pressed a hand seal, beginning to cast his secret technique to dispel the current illusion.
With his divine insight and a divine awareness that surpassed even that of a true immortal, any illusionary arts performed before him would inevitably be clumsy, a mere attempt at showing off, destined to lead to certain defeat. Yet at that very moment, a voice of determination rose from the heavens—Huang Yuan's voice, strained and resolute: "Your powers are indeed astonishing, and Huang Yuan acknowledges that, by mere cultivation alone, I am no match for you. Yet—why must you force this matter? I have made a vow of heart-madness: unless I slay Qing Yuan, I shall never leave the land of Yin He. Should you now choose to withdraw, I would gladly offer half of my accumulated wealth and life savings. Otherwise, you are compelling me to fight to the very end—until either I or you are utterly defeated."
"Fight to the very end? With just your illusions?" The giant ape heard this, raised his head, and burst into loud laughter. His eyes flashed blue, then a golden hand shot out with lightning speed toward the opposite direction.
As his fingers moved, faint streaks of cold light shimmered, as though he were about to tear through the very space ahead of him.
A low roar echoed, and as the golden hand grasped, a cascade of five-colored light rolled up, causing ripples in the surrounding void—faintly, a blood-red figure flashed by. When the golden hand retracted, aside from a few yellow strips clinging to the fingertips, only a steady drip of blood fell from the sharp armor. Though it failed to capture Huang Yuanzi completely, the attack left him unable to escape unscathed. Han Li furrowed his brow, showing a touch of surprise. "This is your doing," he said, voice firm. "I shall now show you the true power of the Jiuhuan Ruiyi Sect." Suddenly, from high above, Huang Yuanzi's voice erupted with furious intensity, followed by a deep, resonant incantation. Instantly, spatial ripples spread around Han Li, and nine beams of light flashed, spun into stillness, then swiftly coalesced into nine identical white pavilions.
Each gate stood over fifteen zhang high, its surface crystal clear and translucent. As soon as it appeared, a resonant hum surged from within, spilling out countless crimson runes that trembled slightly before suddenly transforming into numerous round beads, each about the size of a thumb.
On the surface of each bead, fine crimson filaments spread out, flickering intermittently between light and dark, radiating a terrifying aura that even Han Li found deeply impressive.
"Mother-and-child corpse's shadow thunder," Han Li finally recognized the origin of these beads, drawing in a sharp breath.
The colossal ape, however, pressed a hand seal, and instantly a cold glow emanated from his body, with dense tufts of silvery hair erupting in a steady stream, each one shooting directly toward the beads.
Though the mother-and-child corpse's shadow thunder possessed considerable destructive power, the sheer volume and intensity of its force made Han Li hesitate to absorb it directly—its activation required a moment of delay, enough time for the sword filaments to strike and shatter them.
Yet, at the very next instant, the ape's pupils slightly narrowed.
The silken threads of his sword pierced through the round orbs, flashing briefly as they passed through—seeming merely shadows. "A phantom!" Han Li was startled, his face finally revealing genuine surprise.
Before he had released the sword threads, he had naturally scanned the orbs with his spiritual awareness and divine vision, yet had not noticed any unusual qualities in these尸阴雷.
Now, as the orbs shimmered and glided toward him with a grand, deliberate motion, Han Li's thoughts raced.
Suddenly, the great ape he had transformed into flashed with golden light, extending a massive hand and grasping one of the orbs from a distance of several dozen zhang.
"It's solid—not a mere illusion," the ape exclaimed, as his fingers made contact with the orb. Immediately, a warm sensation surged into his palm, and his face paled dramatically.
A burst of gray light erupted between his fingers, followed by a rapid expansion. A tremendous surge of power poured forth, radiating through the pulsing glow and instantly engulfing the entire form of the great ape.
