Ying'er had fully awakened, and with the help of Gao Liang, she had completely restored her previous divine abilities, soaring together with him. "Houyi! Hear me now! Shoot with your divine archery!" The Heavenly Emperor, jealous that Gao Liang and Ying'er were freely flying through the sky, immediately ordered Houyi to shoot an arrow that could even extinguish the suns. The Heavenly Emperor held absolute authority and supreme dignity in the heavenly realm; once he issued a command, it had to be carried out without question. Houyi immediately drew his bow and shot an arrow—"whoosh!" The arrow surged forward, creating a powerful airflow in the sky. This divine arrow was no ordinary missile—indeed, it surpassed even missiles—otherwise, how could it have downed nine out of the ten suns in the sky? "Hahahaha! Gao Liang! You're going to die!" The Heavenly Emperor beamed with pride, and Houyi, full of confidence, declared to the Emperor, "This divine arrow is self-guided! Once launched, it will operate independently—Gao Liang will surely meet his end!" The other divine generals and heavenly soldiers cheered excitedly, calling out, "It
"Got it! A divine archer! Unbeatable!" The Emperor looked upward, and indeed, the divine arrow seemed to have struck something, immediately beginning to descend from the sky. "Hah! High-light is dead! Now I can rest easy! Ying! You are truly mine!" The Emperor watched as Ying was carried down from the heavens by the airflow of the arrow shot by Houyi, landing safely atop the peak of Wuyun Mountain. He laughed proudly and joyfully. When Houyi approached the falling arrow, he was startled—turns out, it hadn't been High-light at all, but a large goose soaring in the sky. The Emperor grew furious, his face lengthening with anger, and roared, "Houyi! What in the world have you done? You've always been precise when shooting the sun—yet with High-light, you've utterly failed! Quickly! Quickly! High-light must be nearby!"
Upon hearing that Gao Liang was nearby, Hou Yi was filled with fear and anxiety. For Hou Yi understood that his precisely targeted, self-guided arrows—Gao Liang’s divine arrows—could effortlessly evade him, which only meant that Gao Liang possessed a divine skill surpassing his own. If Gao Liang now turned directly against him, it would be disastrous. After all, Hou Yi’s only true strength was his divine archery; beyond that, he had little else. Surveying the surroundings, Hou Yi found no trace of Gao Liang, and thus his heart gradually calmed. At that moment, the Heavenly Emperor turned to a divine phoenix at his side and said, "Hurry! Fetch that celestial young lady over here—I shall reward her handsomely!" The Emperor’s eyes were solely fixed upon the first-rank heavenly beauty, Ying'er. The phoenix immediately took to the skies, soaring like a large aircraft, swiftly heading toward Ying'er atop the Wuyun Peak of Ziyun Mountain. The phoenix was renowned for its celestial prowess and fierce attacking capabilities, and had never failed in any mission.
Ying'er stood alone at the peak, swaying precariously. Below her stretched an endless abyss—just a slight misstep and she would plunge heavily into the depthless chasm. Above her, Shendiao circled, then soared into the sky, generating a true gale. Ying'er's long hair was lifted by the wind, creating a scene of poignant beauty. To Shendiao, she appeared merely a small dot. Ying'er knew that at this moment, she could only be caught by the divine bird. Shendiao plunged downward with unstoppable momentum, wings outspread, jaws agape, and Ying'er closed her eyes in despair. "Gaaah!" A cry of agony rang out—Shendiao seemed struck by something. Ying'er could hardly believe her eyes. She opened them and saw—how could this be? The bird had been pierced in its abdomen. Instantly, Shendiao began to descend toward the abyss. The Celestial Emperor, watching from afar, was struck with astonishment and alarm. Who could it be? Who possessed such skill to strike down my thousand-year-old divine bird? "Haoyi!"
"Did you do it?" The Celestial Emperor thought it was Hou Yi who had accomplished it, since among all the heavenly beings, only Hou Yi possessed the strength to bring down the jade statue that had stood for ten thousand years. Hou Yi repeatedly knelt on the ground, bowing low, saying, "Emperor, Emperor, how dare I? Oh! My divine bow! My divine arrow!" Hou Yi was astonished to find that both his divine bow and his divine arrow were gone—just moments ago they had been perfectly in place, yet now they were completely absent. He immediately turned to look toward the peak of Wuyun Mountain, where the clouds gathered. There, he saw Gao Liang holding his bow and arrows with confidence. Indeed, Gao Liang had, while Hou Yi was distracted, swiftly moved with a flash of agility, using a dragon-shaped step that transformed into a thousand layered illusions, blinding Hou Yi's vision. It was now impossible to tell which of the figures was genuine and which was an illusion. With his illusion technique, Gao Liang had completely confused not only Hou Yi and all the heavenly generals and warriors, but even the once-unshakeable Celestial Emperor.
The true highlight, however, moved with astonishing speed, gliding swiftly through the air just as everyone was distracted, their eyes fixed on Ying'er of Zǐyún Mountain's Wūyún Peak. While all were absorbed, the highlight darted past Houyi, seizing his divine archer's bow. When the divine dragon soared toward Ying'er, the highlight drew back from a distance, nocked the arrow, and launched it with fierce precision. More powerful and accurate than Houyi's, because our highlight's spiritual vision matched Sun Wukong's fiery eyesight—“The Xiao Li Feidao, never misses!” Yet, our highlight surpassed even the Xiao Li Feidao in pinpoint accuracy, aiming directly at the dragon's abdomen—the vital center. With a series of sharp cries, like a plane crashing from the sky, the great dragon plummeted straight into the bottomless abyss of Zǐyún Mountain's Wūyún Peak. It was nearly a minute before a deep thud echoed from below, after which silence returned once more. The divine dragon was slain by the highlight's arrow, launched from Houyi's divine bow.
The news spread, and all the divine weapons and generals were pale with fear. Even the three top divine-level masters—Vajra Force God, Houyi, and the Divine Phoenix—were no match for Gao Liang, who had only recently ascended to divinity. The Celestial Emperor felt an inexplicable dread. Gao Liang aimed Houyi's divine arrow directly at the Emperor, who trembled all over, his face ashen, pleading desperately, "No! No! Please! Please! What do you want? I can agree! I can certainly agree!" Gao Liang laughed heartily, saying, "Dog Emperor! Listen! I demand the abolition of all harsh punishments in the Heavenly Court, and immediate release of all the innocent victims imprisoned in the Heavenly Prisons! Furthermore, every person wrongly accused must be freed—should even one be left behind, I shall not spare this very arrow!" "Yes! Yes! I agree! I agree!" The Emperor now dared not refuse, fearing that Gao Liang might simply wave his hand and pierce his head with the arrow. "And," Gao Liang added, "you must personally apologize to Ying'er!
As Gao Liang spoke, he had already lifted Ying'er, who was wavering and nearly falling from the peak of Wuyun Peak on Ziyun Mountain, and plunged downward from the sky, arriving swiftly before the Tian Di. This remarkable speed only deepened the Tian Di's fear of Gao Liang. All the divine soldiers and generals were terrified, their faces pale as paper. Though there were a hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals stationed outside the stable, not one dared to move. With the Tian Di himself now afraid of Gao Liang, how could any of the divine soldiers or generals dare to act? Before a hundred thousand divine troops, the Tian Di felt humbled and Gao Liang's presence was overwhelming.
