"Master may not be aware, but the Grand Master has crafted one hundred and eight Wind-Heat Copper Pillars and summoned several renowned array masters to establish the Wind-Heat Heavenly Absolute Array around the great island where Tianxing City stands. As long as the members of our alliance concentrate their efforts and maintain the integrity of these one hundred and eight Wind-Heat Pillars, they can effectively encircle Tianxing City." Although the large man knew that disclosing this information would surely bring him no favor upon returning to the Alliance, the cold gaze of Han Li made him feel a sudden chill, causing him to instinctively recount the entire matter. Naturally, as soon as he finished speaking, he immediately regretted it; yet upon reflection, he realized that these details were not particularly confidential—every Condensed Dan cultivator within the Alliance was already well aware of them—and thus felt a little more at ease. "The Wind-Heat Heavenly Absolute Array!" Han Li's face revealed a touch of admiration. Though he had never personally studied this ancient array, it was frequently mentioned in numerous array treatises.
It was said to be a renowned grand seal array from ancient times, famed not only for its ability to harness the winds and flames of heaven and earth, but also for its sheer scale and magnitude. Should someone master its layout, they might very well be able to encircle Tianxing City entirely. With Wan Tianming personally guarding the array, as long as the core remained intact, even if the Star Palace cultivators launched occasional assaults and destroyed some of the wind-and-flame pillars, the Inverse Star Alliance could easily repair the damage and ultimately maintain the integrity of the array. Han Li pondered this, his face showing a thoughtful expression. The nearby Inverse Star Alliance cultivators likewise exhibited equally uncertain and fluctuating expressions. Even the most dull-witted observer could now clearly perceive that Han Li had come to support the Star Palace—their situation had become decidedly dire. Meanwhile, the three White Water Sword Sect cultivators, previously ensnared within the blue silk net, were now overjoyed. The elder hurriedly shouted to Han Li, "Master, we, the junior disciples, have come to support the Star Palace."
These individuals are all senior cultivators from the Enforcer Hall of the Inverse Star Alliance, each having slain countless close associates of the Star Palace—each utterly deserving of death. The elders must not let these thieves escape!
Upon hearing this, the cultivators of the Inverse Star Alliance instantly turned pale.
Two cultivators originally standing at a distance exchanged a silent glance, then suddenly flipped their palms, each producing a small yellow banner. Without hesitation, they launched the banners skyward, and instantly, two clouds of yellow vapor surged downward, swiftly enveloping the two figures.
In a flash, the two clouds vanished completely from their original position.
A moment later, the clouds reappeared twenty paces away, only to vanish again as if they had never been there.
"Instant teleportation!" Han Li's eyes narrowed, a touch of astonishment appearing.
Yet, he immediately snorted, then raised his hand, casually grabbing the green silk net that had ensnared the three cultivators from the White Water Sword Sect.
The two cultivators of the Inverse Star Alliance who had been controlling this treasure felt a tremendous surge in their minds, as if struck by a thunderous boom, followed by dizziness and disorientation. The Celestial and Earthly Network instantly broke free from their control, once again transforming into a swirl of emerald mist that detached from the three elders and soared upward, spiraling before settling gently into Han Li's hands. Han Li paid no attention to the three elders' joyful thanks and bows. A flash of pale and silvery light behind him revealed a pair of strange feathered wings. With a single flap, Han Li vanished mid-air, seemingly heading directly after the two who had instantaneously teleported away. This sudden development left the other cultivators of the Inverse Star Alliance both astonished and delighted. They exchanged glances and then promptly scattered in different directions, taking off in various hues of light. Given how formidable Han Li had proven to be, they dared not rely on any mercy or goodwill from him for their very survival. Seeing this, the three elders naturally could not allow the others to escape without a fight. With a roar of anger, they immediately set off after the fleeing cultivators as well.
Distantly, two deep, resonant booms echoed successively, and the space shimmered with a flash of white light. Two clusters of yellow clouds recoiled and emerged, as though violently expelled from the void. A gentle breeze then swept in, revealing Han Li's form, who gazed coldly at the yellow clouds far ahead, a touch of scorn playing at the corners of his mouth. At his brow, a dark vertical eye appeared, silently closing. With a brief flash of darkness, it vanished without a trace.
But now, Han Li, with merely two distant punches in the void, had completely shattered Bi's confidence, realizing that the young man before them was far more formidable than they had anticipated. Nevertheless, neither of the two would truly surrender. At once, they gritted their teeth and roared, spilling thick streams of vital blood into the yellow cloud. The cloud instantly surged and turned a deep crimson. Then, chanting their incantations in unison, they prepared to unleash their final, desperate measures. Han Li's eyes flashed with cold light. He opened his mouth suddenly, and two brilliant golden beams shot forth, weaving through the blood cloud with an eerie grace, vanishing instantly upon reaching the other side. The cries of agony from the two blood clouds erupted simultaneously, and both figures plummeted straight down from the cloud. At that very moment, Han Li, expression unchanged, gently nodded once toward them.
Two golden small swords flashed forth from the nearby void, gently circling the two figures before blossoming into radiant golden glows that instantly engulfed them. A heavy downpour of blood fell upon them. Han Li had not even given them a chance to cast their secret spells—his attack struck them down with sudden, decisive force. Only then did he raise a hand toward the two blood-clouds. The blood glow swiftly faded, and the clouds reformed into yellow clouds that shot swiftly toward him. With two clear gestures of his jade seals, he sent the seals into the clouds, where they vanished. As the yellow clouds "whooshed" into position before him, they instantly transformed back into two yellow banners, which he gently swept into his sleeves with a flourish. These ancient relics were truly top-tier for escape purposes—though somewhat underutilized for his own needs, they were invaluable life-saving assets when passed on to his disciples. After retrieving the two flying swords as well, Han Li calmly surveyed the escape paths of the other several cultivators.
Just as the few moments had passed, these several figures had already vanished, most of them reaching a distance of a hundred paces, and even one of the fastest practitioners had transformed into a dark speck on the horizon.
Han Li sighed lightly, grasped his spiritual beast bag at his waist, and tossed it into the air.
A resonant hum rose, and a golden swarm of insects surged forth, then split into five smaller golden clouds under the guidance of Han Li’s inner awareness, racing swiftly to pursue the fleeing figures.
Meanwhile, Han Li flipped his hand, and two small yellow banners appeared once more in his grasp, which he calmly held and played with.
The golden clouds and the cultivators moved in succession, vanishing from sight at the horizon within a blink.
Not long after, golden flashes reappeared in the distant sky, as the clouds returned from various directions. The three disciples from Bai Shui Sword Sect, now pale-faced, hurried back behind them, gazing at the golden clouds as though they were demons.
It seemed they had personally witnessed the golden insects devouring living beings, and were deeply shaken.
"Thank you, elder, for saving our lives. Without your timely intervention, we would have certainly perished." The elder, upon seeing Han Li secure the insect swarm in the spirit-beast satchel, immediately stepped forward and said with respectful courtesy. "My rescue of you all was merely incidental—I don't expect any special gratitude. The Tianxing City is now completely encircled. With your current levels of cultivation, even if you manage to reach the island, you would be unable to make it through. It would be wise to return now. I have no interest in dragging any more burdens through the Feng-Huo Tian-Jue Array!" Han Li, equally unceremonious, glanced at the three of them and said calmly. Upon hearing this, the three exchanged a wry smile, recognizing that Han Li spoke the truth. They said no more, merely added a few more thanks before turning and making their way back along the path they had come. Han Li, his eyes slightly narrowed, watched their light trails fade into the distance before turning and swiftly shooting toward the direction of Tianxing City. For a journey of tens of thousands of miles, Han Li naturally required no great amount of time.
But by paying close attention along the way, he also discovered several hidden waves of Inverse Star Alliance cultivators concealed among the reefs or beneath the sea surface. Though these groups far did not match the first wave in terms of having seven or eight Dan-stage cultivators, their leaders included two or three high-level cultivators. Clearly, these individuals had been stationed specifically to prevent any escaped survivors from making it through and to eliminate them later.
Han Li paid no attention to them, merely gliding silently through the air as a faint green shadow, passing right over their heads without a sound.
The Inverse Star Alliance cultivators remained completely unaware that a Death God capable of effortlessly annihilating them in a single hand movement had just brushed past them.
When Han Li reached only a few hundred miles away from Tianxing City, he first spotted faint flashes of red light on the sea surface. As he flew closer, he realized that the massive island, which should have been clearly visible, was now entirely enveloped in a delicate, shimmering veil of light—blending softly between pale green and crimson.
And faintly, from the direction of the great island, a deep, thunderous rumbling could be heard. Han Li raised both brows, then swiftly pressed his palms to form a series of gestures. The already faintly visible evasive light instantly vanished completely. However, at the same time, Han Li's speed slowed considerably, yet he continued to approach the great island steadily and without haste. After flying another several dozen li, he finally gained a clear view of the scene near Tianxing City. On the distant expanse directly ahead, a dense cluster of dark spots had appeared at an unknown time. Upon closer inspection, he realized these were actually a number of distinct, varied-shaped spiritual vessels.
