Han Li received this news from a humanoid automaton. To be honest, when he had closed his inner chamber earlier, he had, by sheer chance, poured several drops of life-restoring water onto the Xuan Tian Immortal Vine—just a last-ditch effort, like trying to save a dead horse with a live one. Now that he truly had confirmation of the vine's revival, he found it hard to believe. Han Li immediately moved toward the herb garden. The Xuan Tian Immortal Vine was planted beside several of the most precious medicinal plants, including the Nine-Curve Immortal Root. Upon arriving and seeing the vine's current state, even though he had expected something remarkable, he was still deeply astonished. The once-slightly green, half-rotted branch, which had previously been nourished under the mysterious green night, now sprawled extensively, its vines covering several white jade pillars nearby, lush and densely green. The vital essence radiating from the vines far surpassed that of any other medicinal plants in the garden. Even the white rabbit formed by the Nine-Curve Immortal Root, which usually moved about, was now resting peacefully at the base of the vine, snoring contentedly.
After reaching the nearby area, the white rabbit twitched its long ears slightly, opened its fiery eyes just a narrow slit to confirm it was Han Li, then closed them again without concern, continuing to sleep soundly.
Over the course of several hundred years of companionship, the Nine-Curve Ling-Shen, now manifesting as a spiritual being, had fully regarded Han Li's medicinal garden as its own home. Under Han Li's protection, it had never encountered a single threat throughout these years. Thus, its vigilance had completely faded, and it now treated Han Li as if he were nothing.
Han Li found this rather puzzling, yet he did not disturb it. Instead, he walked over to the nearby immortal vine and examined it carefully.
At first glance, the revived Xuan-Tian Immortal Vine seemed no different from ordinary vines—except that it radiated an astonishing amount of spiritual energy. However, upon closer inspection, its uniqueness became evident.
The vine was an intense, vibrant green, and beneath that green shimmered a metallic luster. Furthermore, the patterns on its leaves were intricate and distinct—each one unique—and subtly familiar, as though they had been seen before.
Han Li gazed silently at the vines before him, but suddenly a thought struck him, and he felt a growing clarity. The patterns on these leaves bore a resemblance to the silver tadpole script on the Golden Hall and Jade Scroll, yet they were somewhat indistinct and ambiguous. Frowning intently, he examined over a dozen leaves and finally uncovered the secret. The patterns on the vines were nothing but partial depictions—only a few strokes of the silver tadpole script, or merely the initial movements, incomplete and fragmented. Han Li stood in astonishment for a while, then extended two fingers to lift one leaf. The leaf was cool and smooth, as if carved from fine jade. He stroked his chin, released the leaf, and his expression grew thoughtful. Though he longed to summon the child form of the Tianlan beast and inquire in detail about the Xuan Tian Ling Mu, he ultimately decided against it. The child was likely still within the Xutian Ding, engaged in solitary cultivation, completely unaware of what was unfolding here.
This is because, as soon as he returned to his abode, he would use the power of the Xutian Ding to completely sever all connections between this beast and the outside world. He would only release it again when practicing in the inner chamber, to prevent any of his secrets from being discovered. Thus, this creature naturally remained completely unaware of the mysteries surrounding the enigmatic vial. As for the wonders and legends associated with the Xutian Immortal Vine, Han Li had already studied them in depth. It was said that only the sacred trees that emerged during the very beginning of the universe's formation, when chaos first began to take shape, could be entitled with the prefix "Xutian." Whether it was the Xutian Immortal Vine or the Xutian Immortal Tree, the flowers they bloomed and the spiritual fruits they bore possessed miraculous powers that could transcend the fundamental laws of a single realm—truly celestial-level treasures. However, such extraordinary beings were known only through legends from ancient times, with no recorded instances of anyone having personally witnessed them. According to some ancient texts, having four or five such transcendent entities emerge within a single realm was already considered quite remarkable.
Moreover, each of them possesses its own unique growth cycle, spanning hundreds of thousands—or even hundreds of thousands of years—yet once they bloom and bear fruit, their decline occurs in just a few days, or even a few hours. Such an extended cycle, coupled with such a rapid transition from maturity to decay, makes it utterly impossible for people to obtain their immortal flowers and fruits—something that seems like sheer fantasy. These heavenly trees possess only their immortal flowers and fruits with the extraordinary, nature-defying powers that transcend cosmic laws; their vines themselves are merely ordinary materials used for crafting artifacts and hold little intrinsic value. Han Li had not even informed the young attendant that he held a small segment of this heavenly immortal vine root. Now that he has truly revived the root using the returning-life water, he naturally intends to keep this fact completely secret. Although such a heavenly immortal vine, if held by anyone else, would merely be a mere afterthought—inevitably destined to go unfruitful—once someone takes genuine interest in it, it becomes an absolute source of trouble.
And with that mysterious vial capable of ripening, if he were to pour most of the mysterious green liquid into accelerating the growth of this vine, dedicating two or three centuries to it, he would surely have a strong chance of obtaining the spirit blossoms and fruits of the vine. He would absolutely not relinquish this sudden, extraordinary opportunity. Yet if he informed the young attendant of this matter, who knew whether the attendant could relay the news to the entity of the spiritual realm? What if the entity harbored some intention of its own, making him the one who had to act on his own initiative? Thus, despite knowing that the Tianlan beast certainly knew far more about this Xuan Tian Spirit Tree than he did, Han Li still managed to suppress the urge to summon it forth. With this plan firmly settled in his mind, he exhaled deeply, carefully setting up several intricate and subtle seals around the Xuan Tian Immortal Vine before resuming his composed demeanor and leaving the herb garden. Three days later, Han Li left his humanoid automaton in his abode and notified Lu Luo and the other senior elders of his sect, then gracefully departed from the Yunmeng Mountain Range.
On the nameless, desolate island of Luanxinghai, Han Li reappeared and transformed into a streak of azure light, vanishing at the horizon.
Upon seeing the other's face clearly, the woman relaxed slightly and smiled warmly. Yet, in her eyes, a faint sense of apprehension briefly flickered. This was the heart of the Star Palace, with no fewer than twenty or thirty layers of protective seals. How had the visitor managed to reach this place without disturbing her?
"Originally, even if Master had stored this item with the Palace, there would be no issue at all if Master wished to retrieve it. But, Master—do you truly have a way to move it?" Upon hearing this, Ling Yuling was momentarily stunned, and asked with some curiosity. "There is a method, though I'm not certain whether it will actually work. We can only try it out and see," Han Li said slowly. "Then, I shall personally guide Master through the way," Ling Yuling said, her eyes flashing with a distinct expression. "That would be most kind of Master Ling!" Han Li nodded, his expression satisfied.
As soon as his steps entered the gate, the five-element energies surged forth, instantly causing his inner spiritual power to surge and rush outward. However, Han Li now stood at the peak of his late-stage cultivation, with his spiritual energy even more refined and concentrated than when he had come before—thus, he naturally prevented it from being fully absorbed. Immediately, his cultivation technique flowed and stabilized the unusual agitation within him. Then, he pressed his palms together in a series of gestures, slowly bringing them to his chest.
A luminous orb, the size of a large egg, appeared, radiating five-colored light that constantly shifted and flowed across its surface. Instantly, the surrounding five-element energies wrapped around Han Li, instantly weakening by one-third under the glow.
"Congratulations, Brother Han," said Ling Yuling, standing behind him, who naturally sensed the changes in the five-element energies, and smiled lightly in approval.
"If it weren't for the cultivation of even a little Yuanmagnetic Divine Light, how would I have managed to move this mountain?" Han Li chuckled, responding with a carefree tone.
"Although merely a few layers of Yuanmagnetic Divine Light would suffice to move this mountain, it would surely be no easy task to transport Lord Han away. Should Master Han's method prove ineffective, then perhaps it would be better for him to remain at my palace. I can guarantee that no one will disturb Master Han during his cultivation, and the palace's resources will be given priority for your use." Ling Yuling still couldn't help but urge this point. "Master Ling, there's no need to mention this again. If I had any intention of joining your palace, I would have agreed at the time. As for whether my method will work, simply try it out and you'll find out." Han Li glanced at Ling Yuling, speaking calmly. (First update!)
