"This matter is so significant," Han Li's expression grew serious. "If there truly exists a way to achieve perfect resolution, then that would be ideal. Brother Han, please feel free to speak frankly." Yan Li was delighted to hear this. "In truth, we need not worry about this at all. All the two of you need to do is directly communicate your difficulties to Master Jiang. Have you forgotten that Master Jiang is a deeply profound being at the stage of Great Perfection? For us, achieving something difficult may take countless years—perhaps even a lifetime. Yet for a Great Perfection cultivator, such a task might be as simple as a mere gesture. Even if we cannot immediately reverse your ghostly forms, there will surely be measures in place to prevent further transformation. Why not go and inquire with Master Jiang first, and then make your decision?" Han Li said with a warm smile. Upon hearing Han Li's words, Yuan Yao and Yan Li both felt deeply moved. "Thank you, Brother Han, for your timely advice! As the ones directly involved, we have been so focused on the details that we failed to see such a simple solution," Yan Li said, her voice filled with excitement.
Yuan Yao thought for a moment and then nodded. "To be honest, compared to this matter, I actually have some other concerns regarding Yuan Mei joining Master Jiang's disciples." Han Li hesitated slightly before saying this. "What does Brother Han mean?" Yan Li was momentarily startled. Yuan Yao's eyes immediately fixed on Han Li, never blinking. Han Li chuckled softly, not immediately elaborating, but instead flipped his hand once, and a dark, solid object materialized in his palm. Instantly, it swelled rapidly, growing to the size of a mountain, exactly the Yuanmagnetic Divine Mountain. With a simple wrist flick, the small mountain transformed into a streak of black light and soared toward the stone roof. As it passed over the heads of the three of them, it spun smoothly and suddenly emitted patches of gray radiance, enveloping all three of them. Observing the gray light dome now forming outside, the two women were somewhat surprised but did not immediately ask any questions. Only then did Han Li speak calmly: "This is the Yuanmagnetic Divine Light I have cultivated. Though it may not be particularly remarkable even among the Great Stage cultivators—"
Yet it would be impossible that a divine awareness had intruded without the two of you being aware of it. The remarks made to you two might seem somewhat disrespectful to Master Jiang, but as I have always adhered to the principle of being a gentleman first and then a nobleman, I still wish to gently remind you both. Master Yan has long hoped that Yuan would join Master Jiang's disciples. Have you ever considered the possibility that Master Jiang might not actually intend to rely on Yuan's strength to withstand some thunderous calamity, but rather have other intentions—perhaps even that the method of withstanding the calamity might entail significant harm to Yuan, even threatening her life? In such a case, how would you then proceed? The two women exchanged glances, neither showing any surprise. Master Yan managed a composed smile and said, "Your remarks, Brother Han, are rather excessive. How could Master Jiang, as a fully accomplished cultivator, deceive us?" Upon hearing this, Han Li's eyebrows slightly lifted. After gazing at the two women for a moment, he then nodded gently with a light smile. "It seems I have overthought this. Since you two have already considered these points, I shall not dwell on them further. However, I would just
"Since Master Jiang has approached you with a tone of consultation, he must have his own concerns and likely won't resort to strong measures. As long as Yuan Dao-yuan manages the balance well, even if some difficulties arise, things will surely work out for the best."
"Thank you so much, Brother Han!" Yuan Yao smiled faintly, gratefully acknowledging the words.
Han's lips curled upward, and with a sweeping gesture of his arm, the Yuanmagnetic Mountain suddenly vanished from the sky, along with the gray light shield that had surrounded it.
Then, Han and the two women discussed several other matters and offered some speculations and analyses regarding why the elderly Jiang had chosen to reside at this location.
Next, Yuan Yao grew increasingly eager and promptly proposed to visit the elder immediately, to ascertain whether there truly existed a way to resolve their issue of being spirits.
Han and the graceful woman naturally did not object, and the two of them accompanied her right out of the stone pavilion.
After Yuan Yao called out three times, a white figure flashed into being, as if the shadow spirit had always been present. Upon hearing that the three intended to meet the elder named Jiang, the spirit nodded slightly and then turned to lead them, vanishing into the air. A short while later, in the hall where they had first met, Han Li and the others saw the elder once again. The Jiang-named elder remained seated in the same chair as before, smiled gently upon seeing the three, and asked without surprise, "Has Yuan, has she finally decided to join under my guidance?" "With such favor shown by the elder, we are deeply grateful," Yuan Yao said, bowing slightly and then carefully choosing her words. "I would naturally be honored to train under your guidance. However, there is one matter that troubles me, which I may not be able to resolve right now." "A matter of difficulty!" said the elder, chuckling. "What is it? Please share with me."
The elder of the Jiang surname, upon hearing Yuan Yao expressed her willingness to become a disciple, brightened and asked with growing confidence. Yuan Yao, without hesitation or pretense, calmly recounted her aspirations to regain her human form.
"Ha ha! I must have been expecting something grand—turns out, it's simply a matter of restoring her human body. It's nothing at all. As long as I forge several pills for you and expend some of my own spiritual energy to dispel the yin forces within you, restoring your original human form will take only a few years. It won't in any way interfere with your cultivation of the Changyuan clan's divine powers!" The elder laughed heartily after listening. To him, the matter seemed utterly trivial.
"If that's the case, then becoming a disciple under your guidance is exactly what I've longed for! Yao, I bow to my master!" Yuan Yao, filled with excitement, responded promptly and performed a formal bow.
"Excellent! Excellent! My disciple, rest assured—within a few years, I am quite willing to wait. When you have fully regained your human form, then you may begin to cultivate the Changyuan clan's divine powers."
"Overjoyed, the elder shook his sleeve, and at once an invisible force surged upward from beneath Yuan Yao's body, lifting her gently into the air. "Master has agreed to restore my human form. I originally didn't expect to mention this again, as Yuan Yao has grown up alongside her beautiful sister, Ying Li, sharing a bond as close as that of sisters. Could the elder also take Ying Li under his wing, and together transform her into a human form?" As Yuan Yao rose, her eyes suddenly glistened, and she said this to the elder with a warm expression.
How could we possibly expect to enter the senior's door of disciples! Sister, please don't make the senior feel burdened! The words from the graceful young lady were heartfelt and sincere. Yet Yuan Yao's expression grew somber, and finally, as requested, she stopped speaking. She was well aware that, given the senior's status, his decision would not easily change. To agree to half of what was asked was already a generous gesture. To request more would indeed be unrealistic. Han Li, who had accompanied the two young ladies, remained quietly by the side, silent throughout, yet carefully observing the elder's expressions, hoping to glean some insight. Yet he found no unusual signs—this gave him a quiet sense of relief. "It seems the senior truly wishes to take on a disciple." A soft voice, transmitted through the elder's inner speech, suddenly reached Han Li's ears, causing him to start. "Senior, I have a few things I would like to speak with you about privately—would you be willing to listen?" The elder said. "Please go on, Senior. I shall listen attentively."
Han Li's expression grew serious as he replied in a voice that carried directly to the elder. Seeing Han Li and the elder subtly moving their lips without any audible words, Yuan Yao and Yan Li naturally understood that they were communicating through inner speech. After exchanging a glance, both women silently settled themselves, waiting patiently. "Actually, had it not been for the discovery that your companion possesses the body of Tian Yin, I originally intended to take you under my wing and have you inherit my teachings. But now that I have already adopted Yao'er, and must also prepare for the celestial calamity, I simply cannot spare the attention to take you on. This is truly a regrettable situation. I had always been quite interested in your path of dual cultivation." The elder spoke slowly, expressing his deep sense of disappointment. "This indeed indicates that I, the junior, have not yet accumulated sufficient fortune to be fortunate enough to join your esteemed lineage," Han Li replied, surprised by this revelation, and speaking with respectful formality after a moment of thoughtful pause.
"But you have already acquired Qingyuan's sword technique in the human realm, and further refined seventy-two Qingzhuzhu bamboo-hive swords using Jinlei bamboo. Thus, you may be considered, in a way, one of my disciples. Then, if you still wish to learn the newly developed Qingyuan Sword Technique and the refined method for crafting the Qingzhuzhu Bamboo-Hive Swords, I would be pleased to impart these divine arts to you. However, since you are not my true disciple, you will need to offer something in exchange for these teachings. Consider this carefully." The elder spoke in a measured tone. "The newly developed Qingyuan Sword Technique?" Han Li felt a spark of interest. "Indeed. In fact, the sword technique Qingyuan left behind in the human realm was only half-completed. After entering the spiritual realm, he independently developed the second half. This technique can be sustained up to the early Consolidation stage. Later, after integrating the essence and physical form of the Changyuan clan, I began to study and refine their divine arts instead."
"But once you master this sword technique, and then refine the Jinlei Bamboo Flying Sword once more, removing any impurities, the sword array you establish will be capable of standing equal to a late Consolidation Period cultivator, without falling behind." The elder smiled slightly. "Yet, I am merely a junior Fushen Period cultivator. What could I possibly offer you that would catch your attention?" Han Li was deeply moved, yet remained composed and asked with clear judgment. "You may not have much else, but do you still have some residual Jinlei Bamboo material?" The elder narrowed his eyes, speaking each word deliberately. "Jinlei Bamboo! Is that what you have in mind?" Han Li was momentarily stunned, far more surprised than expected. "Indeed. If you still have enough Jinlei Bamboo to produce three flying swords, I will teach you this new sword technique. Should you have more than three, I myself will personally assist you in refining your seventy-two flying swords." The elder chuckled softly.
