Bao Hua, however, showed no expression upon seeing this scene, but immediately reached out with one hand toward the jade tray, as if grasping it in mid-air. A thunderous roar erupted! A flash of light pierced the sky during the day, and from the midst of it, a massive hand—over a hundred zhang in length—emerged. With its five fingers spread wide, the white true flame surged violently, rushing straight down to seize the jade tray. Once again, the bloodlight roar came from within the tray. The black-and-white Taiji pattern trembled, detached from the tray, and swelled in size, moving toward the great hand. The tray itself emitted a hum, and the surrounding void twisted and blurred, as if preparing to instantly vanish through teleportation. As soon as the massive hand of white flame made contact with the black-and-white Taiji pattern, the protective glow trembled violently, and upon the five fingers of the hand closing together, the pattern burst open with a mournful cry. The surging white flame instantly consumed the black-and-white Taiji fragments, and then, in a sudden surge, enveloped the jade tray beneath it as well, without any apparent reason.
Though the three blood-light embodiments within the jade plate were startled, emitting cries of pleading and curses simultaneously, the plate, blazing with white flame, swiftly transformed from pure white to a deep crimson and fiery hue. Even when the large hand firmly grasped it with five fingers, five white fire dragons erupted from the fingertips, circling the plate in swift, continuous flight before gradually dissolving and eroding its structure layer by layer.
A sharp cry of astonishment and outrage burst forth from within the plate, followed by a surge of luminous brilliance—then a tower of several inches in size shot out from the plate, swaying and expanding into a seven-colored ethereal silhouette hundreds of zhang tall, which successfully separated the five fire dragons from the plate. Though the dragons shook their heads, waved their tails, and continuously exhaled streams of white flame, they appeared powerless against the towering, seven-colored phantom tower.
Not only that, after a swift rotation of the seven-colored glow on the surface of the immense silhouette, it unexpectedly drew in numerous white flames, further expanding its own form. Yet at this moment, under the impetus of the precious flower technique, the colossal sun in the sky seemed to descend like a mountain, rumbling heavily. Though the seven-colored tower silhouette was extraordinarily refined, it could barely unleash its full potential against the three blood-light incarnations. Under the immense pressure of the descending sun, it only held on for a few seconds before shattering and collapsing piece by piece. The seven-colored light points flashed and coalesced, reforming into a small tower only a few inches high, now hovering motionless with dimmed radiance at its original location. Meanwhile, as the great sun plunged downward, the massive disc beneath it had no time to react and was instantly engulfed by the descending sun.
Amid the blinding flash of a hundred spears of light, the jade disc once again began to dissolve. As it was about to be completely consumed, three streaks of crimson light burst forth from within the disc, only to be instantly enveloped by the surging white flame. The three radiant beings, shrieking in piercing agony, were swiftly devoured by the flame.
And almost at the very moment the Blood-Clad Avatar fell, within the great tower of the Magi near Tianyuan City, another young Blood-Clad Magistrate sat solemnly upon a central stone throne, listening intently as several Magi Emperors of Consolidated Form detailed the recent results of their army's sweeping campaigns against the Human realms.
"Lord of Blood, what exactly has happened to cause such shock and fury?" A senior mage, hesitating slightly, asked with care. "Nothing serious. Three of my close guards, whose divine awareness I've cultivated, have encountered difficulties and failed to accomplish the important task I entrusted them with. But that's all right—I'll send someone else to take up the matter shortly." With a quick shift in thought, the young noble in crimson robes swiftly smoothed out his expression of anger, returning to his usual composure. Seeing this, the other magi lords, though still somewhat puzzled, dared not press further questions. Only one of them cleared his throat gently and continued with the topic as before. Throughout the rest of the conversation, the young noble remained calm and composed, as if the earlier outburst had been nothing more than a fleeting outburst.
The cry was piercing and shrill, shaking the nearby lake water to its core; yet after a cup of tea's worth of time, the cry abruptly ceased, and no sound remained at all!
... In the Spiritual Realm, at the very instant the great sun set, the translucent light screen formed by the ancient black mirror shattered under the strain. The white flames radiating from the great sun descended without mercy, sweeping down in full force.
Yuansha's face turned as pale as paper, and he could no longer contain himself, urgently opening his mouth to call for help.
Within the stone pavilion below, a flash of black light surged suddenly, and a figure materialized like a ghost, shooting forth with swift motion. By the time the figure came into focus, he had already appeared behind Yuansha, raising his delicate hand toward the sky.
A golden orb the size of a clenched fist burst forth with a soft "pffft," then vanished instantly, disappearing into the great sun.
Then, a thunderous roar like the earth splitting asunder erupted, and a golden aura burst forth within the colossal sun. This aura, imbued with an unknown power, shattered the great sun at the very moment of its explosion, cleaving it open to reveal a circular hole ten zhang in diameter. While this opening was undoubtedly insignificant compared to the sun's mountain-like bulk, a black figure that had suddenly appeared spun gracefully in place, enveloped the Yuan Sha in a swirling mass of dark light, and then vanished into the hole like a streak of radiant light.
Bao Hua's movements appeared slow and deliberate, yet with merely a gentle pull of both hands, she launched the white-long arrow without so much as a glance. As soon as the arrow left her hands, it instantly surged with a boiling white flame, transforming into a shimmering crystal streak and vanishing completely. At that moment, the figure in black had only just emerged from the opening, wrapped in Yuan Sha. As a sudden roar erupted in her ears, she instantly stiffened, exclaiming under her breath, "Unfortunate!" Her body's blue glow flashed, and eight translucent, crystalline shields instantly materialized, overlapping to form a protective barrier in front of the black figure. Each shield was uniformly pale blue, as if forged from cold ice, and instantly overlapped to shield the figure. The sharp, piercing cry abruptly ceased! A flash of white crystal light momentarily appeared before the eight shields, then vanished. Immediately afterward, a long, crisp sound rang out, and the eight small shields burst simultaneously.
With the surge of black light, the figure staggered, and a hole the width of a thumb appeared suddenly in its chest—then, with a loud "pop," a burst of white flame erupted within the wound, instantly engulfing the dark silhouette in flames. Now, clearly visible at last, the figure revealed itself as a slender woman entirely clad in glossy black armor, her face covered by a face mask, revealing only two cold, piercing eyes—mysterious and enigmatic. Though enveloped by the white flame, the female warrior showed no signs of panic; instead, she suddenly opened her mouth and expelled a jet of pure blood, which swiftly dispersed into a dense mist.
The black light surged swiftly, reaching the far horizon in just a blink, then vanished again with a mere flick. Only then did the calm voice of the female warrior emerge: "Bao Hua, with your true form overpowering mere manifestations—what more could you possibly claim? If you dare, wait for my true form to arrive, and then we shall settle this properly!"
Upon hearing this, Bao Hua's expression remained unchanged, yet a deeper frost now settled in her eyes.
At the same time, the stone pavilion in the void suddenly erupted in swirling hues of five colors, countless characters surging forth and coalescing below into a vast magical array. Positioned at the heart of the radiant circle, the pavilion began to blur and fade—about to vanish into the ether.
"Hmph. You may depart," Bao Hua said, her voice low and firm. "But you two shall remain here!"
With a gesture of her hand, her bow and arrows disappeared, and she pointed her finger toward the distant void.
Instantly, the great sun in the sky transformed into a thick white flame curtain, completely enveloping the heavens.
And with that, shimmering light streaks flashed beneath the stone pavilion, and a second massive pink flower materialized spontaneously, with a sudden surge of pink sword-energy shooting forth from the nearby void, precisely striking the great luminous array.
One corner of the array instantly collapsed and dissolved, and the stone pavilion, which had just begun to blur, regained its clarity and solidity with a single tremor.
Two low roars echoed within the pavilion—then one figure shivered and split in two, rolling over to transform into two massive gray-white stone figures.
The stone giants pounded their chests against the walls, roaring fiercely at the radiant flower and the tall man, yet, intimidated by their presence, neither dared to charge fully.
