Yet within two breaths, the sharp cry ceased, and the light and shadow were transformed into a stream of silvery vapor. The purple-haired woman watching the scene displayed a look of both astonishment and delight, silently wondering if the rumors were mistaken—perhaps these magical spirits actually feared the power of flame. With a slight thought, she immediately decided to strike at the other spirit that had branched off. Raising her long spear toward the sky, a roar like a tiger’s echoed, and the spear instantly manifested as a colossal, one-horned tiger in ethereal form. It opened its mouth and unleashed a column of dark, misty light that vanished in a flash, striking the other spirit. As the result, the physical body and the luminous, misty head of the spirit were torn apart in a tremendous crash, instantly shattering into countless fragments. Then, the woman gently rubbed her hands together and swept them toward the distant spirit. A torrent of black lightning and flame burst forth in a rain of black flames, swiftly engulfing the scattered remains of the spirit and setting them ablaze.
The purple-haired woman exhaled deeply, raised her long spear with a single motion, and sent it back into her hands. Gazing at the distant swirl of magical flames, a gentle smile played on her face. It seemed these magical spirits weren't as formidable as the ancient texts had described. If they could indeed be handled so simply, that would truly be a fortunate turn of events! This thought crossed her mind just as it formed. Suddenly, at the far distance, the black flames erupted violently, shooting out in all directions, with countless luminous spots—each the size of a thumb—sprinkled among them. These spots, only just separated from the flames, instantly changed direction and converged toward a single point. After a flash of white light, they reformed into a faint, translucent white silhouette. The black magical flames she had released seemed completely unable to harm this spirit at all! "How is this possible!" Her face changed instantly, and she gasped in astonishment. Now she realized that the silver flames released by Han Li must have held some hidden secret.
But at that moment, the white figure formed by the magical spirit lengthened silently, transforming into a beam of white light that surged forward like a woman. In a blur, she reached a distance of several zhang from the purple-haired woman. Startled, the purple-haired woman remained calm, her movements steady. With a flick of her long spear, she sent out countless black spears piercing the white light, while at the same time, she pressed a hand seal and extended her other hand forward. A thunderous roar erupted—a green glow surged from her palm, shimmered once, and then expanded under the wind, swelling into a disc-like size, subtly taking the form of a crescent-shaped blade. Yet the rushing white figure showed no intention to evade, directly colliding with the black spears and green glow. A sharp crackling sound of rupture resounded. As the white figure twisted her body, she unexpectedly passed straight through the black spears and green glow, emerging and charging directly toward the purple-haired woman.
The purple-haired woman saw this scene, her delicate features instantly changing. With a soft, sharp exclamation of surprise, her slender frame suddenly rose several inches. At the same time, she threw her long spear and, with a graceful hand, clenched her five fingers to deliver a punch toward the white figure across from her.
The purple-haired woman, delighted that the magical technique had taken effect, grew even more determined, not letting go. With her other jade hand, she too emitted a layer of gray light, slowly striking the same empty space. A deep rumble followed, causing the original gray glow to tremble. The surrounding air surged violently, transforming into powerful gusts of wind, and the suction force intensified dramatically, more than doubling. Though formless, the spectral entity could only withstand this resistance. Suddenly, a sharp "whoosh!"—the white light was swiftly drawn into the center of the gray glow, then instantly torn apart by a series of eerie, blade-like forces. The purple-haired woman's eyes sparkled with excitement, her lips curving slightly. With one hand, she pressed a series of gestures, black energy rippling across her body. Then, a jade finger gently pointed toward the gray glow, preparing to unleash an even more powerful secret technique to finally eliminate the temporarily trapped spectral entity. Yet at that moment, Han Li suddenly raised an eyebrow and said, "Be careful."
The purple-haired woman froze, still unsure of the meaning of Han Li's words, when suddenly a series of sharp, rushing sounds erupted from the gray glow before her! Hundreds of white filaments shot forth, striking the woman's body in an instant.
A number of luminous shields spontaneously formed on her body, yet the white filaments passed right through them as if they were invisible, striking solidly upon the white jade-like armor covering her form.
This armor, composed of an unknown material, reacted to the impact—each filament caused bursts of bright white light to radiate outward. Within these flashes, faint silver runes of varying sizes gradually emerged, temporarily shielding the strange white filaments from penetrating further.
Yet the hundreds of filaments seemed to carry an overwhelming power. As they suddenly trembled, a tremendous force surged forth, one that the purple-haired woman found utterly impossible to resist.
Her body shuddered, and she was then thrown backward, unable to hold her ground.
Then, hundreds of white filaments suddenly congealed in an eerie manner, and at the very spot where the purple-haired woman had stood, a hazy, luminous glow materialized once more. As the two arms that had been launched forward by the purple-haired woman suddenly reached out and seized it.
Boom!
Two hands of luminous light, each measuring a zhang in size, burst forth from the void, plunging downward with great force and sweeping toward the woman below. Though they had not yet fully caught the purple-haired woman, the immense power of the two hands immediately transformed into roaring gales of wind.
Protected by a powerful magical technique, the purple-haired woman's face paled slightly upon witnessing the overwhelming momentum of the light hands. She knew that if she were truly struck by such force, even if she survived, she would undoubtedly suffer severe injuries. With a firm bite of her white teeth, she resolved to fight to the very end.
As a faint flush of blood appeared on her face, a flash of black light surged from behind her, and a fierce, tiger-headed, human-bodied magical form emerged. Upon a low roar, this magical form split its two massive claws apart, piercing directly through the gales of wind and
As soon as the magical hands made contact with the light hand, the opponent suddenly twisted, miraculously slipping past both hands and appearing at the top of the purple-haired woman's head, then delivering a powerful reverse strike. The purple-haired woman gasped, "Not good!"—by the time she could react further, she had no choice but to channel all her inner energy rapidly into her body surface, causing her white battle armor to glow brilliantly and fiercely, hoping to absorb the blow with her physical form. Just as the massive hands were about to converge and strike, sudden ripples of energy rippled through the surrounding space, and with a soft "pff," two bursts of silver flame shot forth, striking precisely the two large hands unexpectedly. "Boom!" The hands momentarily halted, engulfed instantly by the surging waves of silver flame, and vanished completely in the blaze. Then, at the very next moment, the two silver flames unexpectedly surged upward, merging into one, and rolling together to form a silver phoenix about one zhang in height. With a spread of its wings, the phoenix shot straight toward the core of the magical spirit.
It was Han Li, standing beside her, who finally decided to step in personally when he saw the young woman in peril. Upon observing the silver phoenix approaching, the spectral essence of the demon spirit clearly grew alarmed, swiftly retreating like a ghost several dozen feet away, then opening its mouth to emit waves of deep purple and crimson crystalline light. As soon as this light emerged, it instantly transformed into dozens of intersecting streaks of purple swordlight, flashing forth and swiftly striking the silver phoenix. The silver phoenix's body shimmered with its silver flame, calmly absorbing these purple swordlight attacks without a single mark upon its form. In fact, as the flame surged outward, the purple swordlight was gradually drawn in and dispersed into wisps of pale green smoke. However, the obstruction from these swordlight strikes caused the silver phoenix to momentarily hesitate and stagger several times. In the meantime, the demon spirit had already executed several quick maneuvers and vanished completely into the stone wall of the cave behind, leaving no trace.
Han Li observed this scene, his expression slightly stirred. He raised his hand and waved at the silver phoenix, and instantly, the bird emitted a clear cry before transforming once more into a swirling ball of silver flame, shooting back toward him. Vanishing in an instant, it merged into his body.
The purple-haired woman smiled sadly and replied, then turned her gaze toward the battle on the other side before taking a deep breath and charging forward. There, the molten giant emitted a steady stream of crimson flames that seemed endless. Though already pressed by the combined strength of the three magi-chiefs with golden hair, the fierce flames showed no sign of waning. Instead, the giant's massive fists rained down in wild, erratic strikes upon the three elder magi, sending out countless green flame orbs the size of pavilions, each soaring through the air like meteors. The immense power contained within these colossal flames forced even the three magi to move with caution, carefully dodging or stepping aside to avoid direct impacts. Indeed, this beast was no ordinary creature—among the formidable late-stage magi-chiefs, it truly stood out. Should it have been only the three golden-haired magi, defeating this creature would have proven no easy task.
Han Li naturally also observed all of this clearly. With a gentle smile, he pressed a hand seal, and as a surge of magical energy rose from behind him, a golden, three-headed, six-armed bodhisattva form materialized and stepped forward, steadily advancing toward the combat group on that side.
