Chapter 2134: The Six Absolute Qing Lei Array

Back to Chapter List
The gray-robed man swept his sleeves back and suddenly vanished amidst a shimmering glow of light. Two days later, Han Li once again rode out from Blue Cascade City on a beast-carriage, heading straight for Guangyuan Zhai by the lake. Within the pavilion deep in the forest, Han Li met Lan Ying once more and spent several hours in a private chamber before emerging with a mysterious smile, calmly returning to the city. This time, as soon as Han Li entered the inn, he remained closed in his room for several consecutive days. Since Han Li had initially paid for a full month's worth of magical stones at once, the other magical beings at the inn had not taken much notice at first. It wasn't until the final days of the month, when still no signs of activity were seen in Han Li's room, that others began to pay attention. By the very last day, a magical servant who had been assigned to the inn finally approached the door with cautious care, knocked gently, and entered—only to find the room completely empty. ...Han Li sat calmly in a dark gray flying vehicle, meditating with his eyes closed. Opposite him, a clean-cut young man and a graceful young woman sat in corners of the vehicle. One appeared serene and motionless, as if carved from wood, while the other continuously shifted her gaze from side to side, constantly looking around. These were Cai Dao and Zhu Guo. After Han Li had quietly departed the island and reached the originally agreed-upon location, he promptly retrieved the two and set off without any delay. Over the past several days of travel, they had already left the region of Blue Falls Lake and entered the adjacent territories of the magical realm. With this, Han Li felt a great sense of relief. Now fully equipped with his gains, he resolved to leave the magical realm and return to the spiritual realm. According to the plan discussed and agreed upon by the elders of the Long family and him that day, they naturally could not return along the original route. Once they secured their position in the Magic Source Sea, they intended to return to the Spirit Realm via another previously surveyed passage in the Magic Realm. As the elders of the Long family had mentioned, this passage was located in a remote part of the Magic Realm, with few high-ranking magical beings stationed there, and the end leading into the Spirit Realm was not within the territories of the human or elven clans, but rather in the adjacent Wood Clan domain. Thus, if they launched a surprise attack upon the passage, the defending magical beings would likely be unable to impede their return. Although the elders of the Long family had all perished, Han Li still intended to follow the original planned route back. After all, the other passages were uncertain in terms of their destination—what if they led to other continents of the Spirit Realm? In that case, he would surely be at a loss. He certainly didn’t want to spend another one or two centuries just to return to the human realm. Nevertheless, whenever Han Li thought of Zilin, a subtle sense of sorrow stirred within him. It would indeed be impossible to say he had no feelings for this woman. Having only just met her after so many years, and now being forced to part from her once again so swiftly, the emotions stirring within him could hardly be fully expressed. Of course, if not for the fact that Zilin’s magical cultivation was constrained by the Six Extremes, he would have certainly brought her back to the Spiritual Realm, and found a secret method to eliminate the demonic energy within her, thus restoring her to a human spirit body. For now, however, he could only leave Zilin to remain temporarily in the Demon Realm. While quietly pondering these matters, Han Li recalled various scenes from his days on the Human Plane, and at the same time, another face as graceful and resplendent as any came vividly to mind, stirring his inner spirit. It wasn’t long before Han Li suddenly stirred, his eyes snapping open, radiating a gleam of brilliance. At the very same moment, the light of the flying chariot below dimmed and came to a sudden halt, hovering silently in the air. "Master Han, what has happened?" Zhu Guo'er leapt up instantly, somewhat surprised and asked. Yet Crab Dao-ren remained seated cross-legged by the side, his expression unchanged. "It seems we've accidentally stumbled into a super-level spell array. This array is exceptionally concealed—so subtle that even I didn't notice it at first," Han Li said slowly as he stood up, his brows slightly furrowed. "A super-level array, and even the senior master hasn't detected it! Could it be that the array is specifically targeting us?" Zhu Guo'er grew a little uneasy. "Crab brother, what do you think of this array?" Han Li didn't answer Zhu Guo'er's question directly, but instead turned to ask Crab Dao-ren. Upon hearing this, Crab Dao-ren opened his eyes, turned his head and surveyed the surroundings carefully before calmly replied, "This appears to be the Six-Extremes Azure Thunder Array, though somewhat incomplete. If you're my companion, I'd recommend continuing forward and heading straight toward the array's core. Although the core is where the array's power is strongest, it is also the only point from which we can exit this array." "Having said these words, Xie Daoren once again remained motionless and silent. "The Six-Extremity Qing Lei Array? Though I have never heard of it before, with your extensive experience, it is surely accurate. Then let us proceed. Whether or not this array is specifically targeting us, once we are ensnared within it, there is only one path forward—breaking through and emerging." After a brief pause, Han Li decisively stated. Then, with a gentle tap of his single foot on the flying chariot, a surge of gray light erupted and instantly formed a luminous veil enveloping the chariot's exterior. As the chariot trembled and surged forward, it transformed into a long, radiant rainbow streak, soaring through the air at a speed that was now several times greater than before. Zhu Guo'er widened her eyes, constantly glancing left and right, as if trying to detect any traces of the magical array. Yet, the area around the chariot remained utterly empty and unremarkable, revealing no signs of anomaly. "Stop looking," Han Li remarked upon observing this. "With your current level of cultivation, you still lack the insight to perceive the illusions and restrictions surrounding us." Then, with a flick of his sleeve outward, a golden, hazy sword aura surged forth. A tremendous roar echoed. Where the golden light passed, the void seemed to shatter like thin paper, and the surrounding scenery transformed instantly into an endless sea of white mist. The flying chariot struggled to move forward through the thick fog. "Ah! This is—!" Zhu Guo'er gasped in surprise. "This is only the beginning. If we had continued on our original path, the powerful seals within the array would have already been activated, and we wouldn't be experiencing such calmness now." Han Li explained calmly. "Even so, soon the seals of the Six Absolute Celestial Thunder Array will begin to launch active attacks. With your current abilities, Han, you'll have to be on your guard." Crab Monk remained closed-eyed, yet offered the reminder. "Thank you, Crab Monk. I shall take care to remain vigilant." Han Li's expression subtly shifted. After a brief thanks, he suddenly raised both hands simultaneously, and dozens of beams of luminous energy shot forth, vanishing instantly into the flying carriage—whereupon dozens of small array flags and circular array plates, each a few inches in size, were no longer visible. At once, dozens of dark magical patterns surged out from within the carriage, transforming into various-sized seal patterns that stabilized on the walls, as if they had always been etched there. After setting up this array, Han Li stood with both hands behind his back at the front of the carriage, gazing steadily into the distance without speaking. Deep within his pupils, a vivid blue glow flickered continuously, allowing him to faintly perceive something through the layers of white mist. Suddenly, his expression darkened, and with one hand he pressed a series of gestures, beginning to chant softly. Immediately, the dark seal patterns on the carriage walls flashed with a black glow, and one after another, the characters surged forth, densely forming a vast network of black seals that spread beyond the gray light curtain. And shortly thereafter, gentle thunder rumbled through the once-quiet misty seas on either side. At first the sound was soft, but as the surrounding white fog began to surge in wave-like motions, the thunder grew into a powerful roar. Between the two misty seas, patches of emerald electric light started to flicker. At the same time, the white mist itself suddenly thickened into a viscous, marsh-like consistency, causing the flying carriage to tremble and its speed to rapidly diminish. Han Li emitted a cold sigh, then suddenly opened his mouth, expelling a shimmering, jade-green essence that vanished instantly into the carriage beneath him. At the same time, his feet were wrapped in swirling bands of emerald light, channeling powerful spiritual energies into the carriage. The carriage emitted a resonant hum, and as its surface black sigil net trembled, it shook the nearby white mist into fragments, restoring its speed and propelling it forward once more like a swift, arrow-like dart. A thunderous roar erupted suddenly, as the flying carriage swiftly accelerated. Instantly, countless streaks of emerald arcs materialized from the misty sea around, transforming into countless serpentine bolts of electric light that surged toward the carriage. Each emerald flash striking the black sigil net caused it to tremble, its characters flickering momentarily. Under the combined assault of hundreds and thousands of such strikes, the net shook violently, flashing wildly, as though it might soon collapse under the strain. Yet Han Li paid it no heed, merely continuing to propel the carriage forward at an astonishing speed. At that very moment, the same thunderous roar surged forth, golden arcs leaping from his fingertips and instantly weaving into a shimmering golden grid that shattered the incoming azure arcs with a single strike. During this brief pause, the black runes on the flying carriage glowed again, surging forth countless new black characters before coalescing into a dense network of black runes. Though the azure arcs were exceptionally powerful, under the combined application of the array's power and the Divine Exorcising Thunder, they were easily dispersed, one by one. In a matter of moments, the carriage had already traveled over ten thousand li, and the fog ahead began to thin. Yet simultaneously, the azure arcs grew denser, gradually approaching the center of the array. Soon, amid the surrounding flashes of lightning, individual azure spheres the size of fists began to appear, each hovering quietly at a distance, neither joining nor intensifying the assault of the azure arcs. At that moment, a woman's voice suddenly arose from the thin, distant mist: "Miss Baohua, by now you have exhausted all your means. Even with the greatest abilities, you can no longer fly your wings. If you are willing to surrender, I shall, out of our past goodwill, preserve a fragment of your spirit, allowing you to enter the cycle of rebirth once more."
