Chapter Two Thousand and Nine: Re-Entering the Realm of Magic

Han Li watched the scene with his expression unchanged, merely flicking his sleeve upward. Instantly, a flash of golden light shot down and vanished into his sleeve. With a single hand motion, Han Li then produced a golden beetle the size of a clenched fist in his palm—precisely one of the three "false Beetle Kings" he had originally released to pursue the Black Hawk King. Han Li stared at the golden beetle in his hand for a moment, then slightly furrowed his brows and murmured, "Indeed, the Black Hawk King has managed to escape. However, nearly half of his body has been consumed by these smaller followers. The injuries he sustained are far greater than anticipated. That's not a bad outcome at all." After finishing his thoughts, Han Li gently moved his hand, closing the beetle into his sleeve. Then, with a flash of green light, another jade scroll appeared in his hand. As he glanced at the scroll, a faint smile spread across his face. Though he had witnessed many admirable secret techniques during his visit to the Celestial Book Pavilion, his true purpose had been to seek the second half of the "Sacred Thunder Technique." Initially, the Sacred Thunder Technique he had received from the Deep-Realm Demon King of the Feiyu Clan was only a partial method for activating it. While the power unleashed by the Divine-Defeating Thunder was immense, the casting process was exceedingly slow, rendering it largely ineffective in actual combat. Upon learning from Black Rain that the Sacred Island still preserved the second half of the technique's incantation, he immediately made a firm resolve to master it completely. Now, after locating the second half of the Sacred Thunder Technique within the Pavilion and reviewing it briefly, he found that it seamlessly complemented the one he had previously learned—thus forming a complete and coherent system. With this discovery, he was overjoyed and promptly retrieved the jade scroll that recorded the technique. The other several dozen secret techniques, meanwhile, remained merely incidental additions. However, among other secret arts, several stood out and truly captured his interest, prompting him to return and refine them slightly. Han Li quickly scanned the scroll on the lightning ritual, confirmed that everything was sound, then closed it and strode steadily toward the nearby teleportation array. There, Xie Daoren was quietly waiting. "Master Han has returned," Xie said calmly as soon as Han approached. "I've kept you waiting. Let's go see the elders of the Sacred Island. I'm certain they've been growing impatient." Han offered a polite smile. Xie nodded without hesitation. Thus, when the two entered the teleportation array, a flash of light and they vanished once more. Several days later, a white, misty jade boat broke free from the Sacred Island and shot off into the distance. On this vessel, Han Li, Xie Daoren, Yin Yue, and others were all present, along with an elderly white-haired elder from the Saint Island named Luo. Han Li stood at the very front of the jade vessel, his brows slightly furrowed, deeply contemplating something important. "Luo Daojun, I have severely wounded the Black Hawk King. For the next several hundred years, he will have no intention of posing any threat to our two clans. As for the other clans—such as the Ying Clan—without a major vessel to anchor them, they will surely hesitate to take any bold actions. In any case, I must keep the news of my entry into the Magic Realm strictly confidential. I will ensure no hint of it leaks out for at least a hundred years, to guard against any unforeseen developments!" After relaxing his expression, Han Li spoke to the elder in a commanding tone. "I shall strictly abide by the instructions of Master Han. I will do my utmost to seal all information regarding your temporary departure from the Spiritual Realm, ensuring no one outside is made aware. Yet, Master, are you truly planning to set off so swiftly?" Master Han has only recently attained the stage of Great Perfection. Why not consolidate his cultivation further and prepare for a bit longer before entering the realm of the demons? After agreeing, the elder hesitated and added, "My esteemed friends Mo Jianli and Ao Xiao have been trapped in the demonic realm for an extended period now—perhaps they are in grave danger by this time. How could we possibly delay any further? As for consolidating my own stage, however, I do not find it particularly necessary. Master Han's cultivation method differs from that of most of my peers—he has primarily relied on bodily refinement techniques to reach the stage of Great Perfection, and thus, the consolidation required at this stage does not demand much time." Han shook his head and explained a few points. "Since Master has made up his mind, I shall no longer urge you. The spatial node we are heading toward was originally the channel through which the demonic army retreated." Although this channel has vanished and now exists merely as a spatial node, reports from nearby cultivators indicate that intense spatial fluctuations occasionally emanate from within the node—clearly suggesting that the interface barrier here is still somewhat fragile, and the interface force has not yet fully solidified. With the senior cultivator's advanced stage of attainment, combined with the star-map's support, breaking through to enter the demonic realm should not be particularly difficult. "As long as the node you mentioned is stable, entering the demonic realm truly does not pose a significant challenge for me at this point," Han Li replied with a neutral tone. "In fact, if the senior cultivator were to wait a little longer, other major clans would likely send additional representatives to investigate the demonic realm as well. After all, they too have had their senior cultivators trapped within the demonic realm with no updates reaching them." This remark was spontaneously added by Li Rong, who had been seated beside Han Li. "Heh, even if those major clans do send people into the demonic realm, they would only be concerned with the survival of their own senior cultivators. How could they possibly care about the fate of smaller clans like ours?" Moreover, so much time has passed now—perhaps these great clans have already sent new envoys into the realm of demons. I simply don’t think they’d feel the need to specially notify us of their actions. Han Li said with a cold smile. Hearing Han Li’s words, Li Rong and the old man naturally found themselves unable to object. At that moment, Han Li then thought of something and added gently: "You needn’t worry too much. This time, I’m going to the demon realm with Xie’s brother accompanying me, and Yin Yue will also join us. Even if something does happen, we’ll be well protected. However, Guo’s young lady has still not reached a high enough level of cultivation and would not be suitable to accompany me further. I’ll need a few of my friends to temporarily look after her." "Rest assured, Master! Once you enter the demon realm, we will bring Lady Zhu back to the Sacred Island so she can settle in and continue her cultivation." The old man immediately bowed and responded. Zhu Guorui heard this and slightly pouted, showing a faint sense of reluctance, yet dared not truly object. Han Li smiled calmly, moved his lips a few times, and then directly transmitted his words to Zhu Guorui: "The small Ling Tian realm has not yet arrived. We'll have to wait several years before we can hope to find its entrance. You should first focus on your cultivation on the Sacred Island, strengthen your cultivation level, and only then, when you seek the entrance to the small Ling Tian realm, will you be able to protect yourself alongside me." Upon hearing this, Zhu Guorui was struck with awe and immediately nodded repeatedly, saying nothing further. As for Yin Yue, who deeply cared about the safety of the old Master Ao Xiao, and who also had the opportunity to accompany Han Li into the realm of demons, naturally had no objections at all. Thus, the jade boat sped onward toward the territory of the beast race, flying smoothly for nearly a month, until it finally arrived at a vast expanse of green grassland. After traveling deep into the grasslands for two days and two nights by flight, Yu Zhou finally came to a complete stop above a cluster of ruined fortifications. "According to the latest information, this must be it. There used to be a magical army stationed here, but now it has been abandoned for a long time," the elder said, after carefully examining the array disc in his hands. "This place?" Han Li listened, then raised his head to gaze upward. Above, apart from a gray cloud covering half the sky, everything else appeared ordinary, with no unusual signs. Han Li's expression subtly shifted as he suddenly pointed a finger at his brow. "Pffft!" A dark mist immediately rose there, transforming into a third vertical eye. As this eye slowly opened, a beam of deep black light shot out and then vanished instantly into the sky. At that very moment, a deep rumbling echoed through the gray clouds, followed by a subtle ripple that instantly reached every person aboard the jade boat. Seeing this, the old man and others all beamed with relief. Han Li nodded, drew in the third vertical eye, and then swept his robe outward. Instantly, countless array flags and array discs surged forth as brilliant streaks of five hues, gradually fading into the void as they shimmered and vanished. After a brief moment, Han Li rubbed his hands together and then raised them upward. A thunderclap! A thick golden arc shot out and instantly disappeared. Immediately afterward, a deep rumbling came from below, and a massive luminous array, spanning an acre in size, materialized, with countless golden arcs flashing and dancing within it. Han Li then swept his sleeve once more downward, and a bright white glow burst forth, containing within it a disc-shaped artifact roughly a foot in size. This was precisely the renowned "Reverse Star Disc," a legendary boundary-breaking artifact of the spiritual realm. As soon as this disc was released, it spun continuously above the vast light array before finally transforming into a silver moon, suspended in the void. "Brother Crab, the silver moon—let's go," said Han Li, raising his eyebrows and turning without looking back. With that, he took a single step and then faded into a blur, vanishing from his original spot. Below, a deep rumble followed, and Han Li materialized in the center of the light array, surrounded by electric arcs. Seeing this, Brother Crab and the silver moon immediately took off as well, arriving behind Han Li. After glancing at the old man on the jade boat and Li Rong, Han Li raised one hand in a series of gestures and extended the other toward the sky. At once, the silver moon above the light array emitted a clear chime, then trembled, launching a beam of five-colored light that plunged directly into the gray clouds. Meanwhile, the light array beneath Han Li roared with thunder, sending forth six beams of alternating black and white light, which struck the gray clouds at the same point as the five-colored beam. A tremendous roar echoed, and as a brilliant silver flash flashed briefly within the gray clouds, a massive, dark void suddenly materialized out of nowhere. Han Li took a deep breath, and a sudden surge of golden light radiated from his body. In an instant, he swept the two companions beside him into the midst of the glow, then roared loudly and surged upward, transforming into a streak of golden light. Moments later, a powerful spatial ripple swept through, and the golden streak vanished instantly into the vast black void.
