At the very base of the Heavenly Burn Qi Tower, the scene is almost entirely different from that of the upper floors. The intense heat rises throughout the vast space, blurring and distorting the vision to some extent. A gentle inhalation of air immediately feels as though one has drawn in flames. A fiery glow seeps in from somewhere, illuminating the entire space with a clear brightness. At the central area of this space, there lies an exceptionally spacious cavern. The entrance to this cavern is broader than that of any of the preceding floors. Moreover, instead of appearing as a deep black void, it is filled with a subtle deep red hue, resembling solidified blood.
Beyond the deep chasm, a visible energy shield forms a cylindrical enclosure, firmly sealing it in. On the surface of the shield, intricate patterns surge and ripple, resembling the curved, wavy impressions left by a serpent's passage. This shield is exceptionally turbulent, with continuous waves of powerful energy radiating outward, and faint, deep rumbling explosions subtly echoing through the air.
Leaping to his feet with the suddenness of lightning, Su Qian moved swiftly and, by the time he reappeared, had reached the edge of the deep cavern. His gaze, sharp as electric sparks, was fixed directly upon the depths within. Yet, after a while, the previously sudden sound of liquid flowing had vanished entirely—as if it had never occurred at all. Frowning slightly, Su Qian hesitated briefly, then gently pressed his hands against the turbulent energy shield before him. Energy so violent that it could easily shatter any Duke-level warrior upon impact became, in Su Qian’s hands, as calm as a pet recognizing its master. As his hands slowly parted, the circular energy shield unfolded, forming a clear passage wide enough for a person to pass through.
With a flash of movement, Su Qian instantly darted into the energy shield, his feet firmly planted at the edge of the deep chasm. Immediately, an intensely scorching heat rushed toward him. Even with his formidable strength, Su Qian could not ignore it. With a sweeping motion of his sleeves, a powerful aura enveloped his body, effectively shielding him from the searing heat.
Gazing at that corner of the magma world extending deep into the earth's core, Su Qian's growing sense of gravity deepened. Though he knew the true form of the Fallen Heart Flame resided there, the extreme conditions made it impossible for even his prowess to venture in with ease—let alone the presence of a vigilant, sentient Fallen Heart Flame lurking within. With the enhanced acuity of his vision, Su Qian could vaguely discern the magma realm, the deep crimson filling his field of sight. Prolonged exposure, even for his strength, stirred a growing restlessness within him—he was certain it was the Fallen Heart Flame at work, a flame born of human emotion, inherently enigmatic.
"Yet, it should be stirring—why no movement?"
In the molten world beneath, everything remained as calm and unchanging as ever—no signs of disturbance at all. Yet earlier, Su Qian had clearly sensed an immense surge of energy flowing through the deep earth, far from any life forms. Aside from the fallen Heart Flame, who else could possess such a vast energy flow that even he found astonishing? His brows were furrowed. With his own strength, Su Qian knew it couldn't have been mere illusion. Yet now…
Yet although he knew something was happening deep beneath the ground, Su Qian still dared not enter. After all, should anything happen to him, and then the Heart of the Fallen Flame suddenly erupted, the Inner Courtyard would surely face a catastrophic collapse.
"Boom!" As Su Qian pondered, another deep sound quietly rose—this time even louder than before. The tone seemed as though something were about to burst forth, like something emerging from its cocoon.
His fist, clenched within his robe, slowly tightened. Su Qian's face remained uncertain, slightly shadowed by the deep crimson glow.
"Boom!" A sound reminiscent of a heartbeat echoed once more—this time, stronger than the previous one.
"Boom!"
Then, five minutes later, another sound—then… three minutes later, another… As time passed, the somewhat eerie sound grew increasingly urgent, until Su Qian was startled to find that the rhythm had perfectly synchronized with his own heartbeat.
“What… what is happening…” he murmured softly, his face suddenly pale, eyes wide with astonishment, fixed upon the subterranean world of molten rock. There, a powerful and turbulent surge of energy was slowly rising from the depths of the magma, and as this surge intensified, the tranquil state of the molten world was violently disrupted. Strong winds, rising from unknown sources, howled across the surface of the magma, lifting it into towering waves of fiery color, reaching heights of ten or more zhang, which then crashed down with tremendous force. The resulting roar was as if mountains had collapsed and the earth itself had split open.
"This energy…"
Feeling the sudden surge of a familiar energy, Su Qian's face flushed with a faint green hue. After years of experience, he knew perfectly well that this energy belonged to the fallen heart flame.
"What has this thing done? How has the energy suddenly grown so much stronger—several times more powerful than before?" Su Qian murmured, his face filled with astonishment.
"The energy has grown so strong… then… what about these seals? Their effectiveness…" Suddenly remembering something critically important, Su Qian felt a sudden chill in his heart. As he prepared to immediately summon people to reinforce the seals, a tremendous roar erupted suddenly from the depths of the cavern. Turning his gaze downward, he slowly drew in a deep breath.
Within the endless world of molten rock, the dark red magma suddenly surged violently, swirling with an exceptionally powerful and turbulent energy.
As the magma surged and rolled, it seemed as though something were about to break through the surface, much like a thing rising from the depths. After a while, the turbulent flow of magma suddenly stilled, yet Su Qian's eyes did not relax. He clearly sensed that the fierce energy was drawing closer to the magma surface—ever closer.
As the sonic wave spread, the magma world erupted like countless bombs had been dropped—deep, resonant booms reverberated, magma surged forth, and flames burst wildly in every direction. After an almost frenzied outburst, the massive transparent fire serpent suddenly lifted its enormous head, its triangular pupils glowing with an intangible flame, locking firmly onto Su Qian at the mouth of the deep cavern. As the transparent fire energy swept over his body, Su Qian instantly felt a coolness radiate through him—like his entire form had been scanned from within to without. The serpent's gaze fixed on Su Qian, and within a single instant, its keen intelligence recognized this long-standing adversary. Then, a terrifying surge of energy erupted from its massive body—so violent and overwhelming that even Su Qian felt a deep chill. "Crick!"
Another violent, sharp wave of sound surged forth, and the immense, formless body of the invisible fire serpent slammed against the molten rock. Instantly, the colossal form—nearly twenty-three zhang long—flew upward like an invisible lightning bolt, carrying with it intense heat and powerful energy, rushing straight through the deep cavern.
"By the heavens, this beast is aiming to breach the seal!" The movement of the fire serpent caused Su Qian's face to pale. With a swift point of his foot against the edge, he darted out of the energy shield, and at the same moment, his hand movements activated swiftly. A surge of energy erupted at the cavern entrance, eventually forming a vibrant, colorful energy shield that sealed the opening tightly.
As Su Qian's hand gestures shifted, a thunderous cry burst forth from his mouth, resonating powerfully across the sky of the Tianfen Qi Tower and throughout the entire inner courtyard.
"All elders must immediately proceed to the tower. All students must evacuate the area within one hundred meters of the Tianfen Qi Tower."
Hearing the thunderous roar echoing across the sky, the entire inner courtyard fell utterly silent at that moment.
