Chapter 031: The Proud, Shy White Rabbit
"Class president," said Lu Yun, with a playful smile, "may I ask you one question?"
Seeing Liang Hongyu blush and shy away from him, Lu Yun's teasing spirit flared up even more. "Just about anything related to studies—I can answer it for you." But Liang Hongyu’s voice was so soft it sounded like a whisper.
"Not something academic," Lu Yun chuckled. "I just wanted to know—why are you so shy and so easily blushing? I’ve known you for such a long time now, yet every time I try to speak with you, you turn crimson."
"I… I don’t know," Liang Hongyu replied.
Lu Yun was puzzled: "You don’t know? Then perhaps I should go ask some of your close friends—surely they’d have noticed something by now."
As he spoke, Lu Yun reached to rise and prepare to leave.
"Wait—" Liang Hongyu quickly stopped him, her cheeks flushed, saying with a breathless tone, "I truly don’t understand what’s going on. As soon as I speak to any boy, I get blushing—sometimes so deeply that I’m actually embarrassed."
With her elbow resting on the desk and both hands cradling her textbook, Liang Hongyu kept her delicate face buried in the pages, as if trying to hide from view.
Lu Yun watched with a smirk, slowly leaning down until his gaze passed through the short sleeves of his shirt. There, he noticed a deep crease—an impressive one—between the two modestly rounded parts at the front of her blouse.
What on earth? This man, so awkward in comparison to the girls! Every girl in class seemed fully developed and lush—yet here was Liang Hongyu, standing taller than Lu Yun by just one centimeter—at 1.69 meters—and weighing only a hundred pounds. So slender. And yet, those two little white rabbits at her chest—how they stood out in their underdevelopment!
Pressed tightly together with a deep groove between them, the space was so wide it could easily be enough to knock someone over.
Even if compared to Xiao Ying's, Liang Hongyu’s should not fall behind—and perhaps even surpass her!
Lu Yun rubbed his fingers, recalling last night when he had touched Xiao Ying—both hands in action—then suddenly found himself comparing the two girls side by side.
"Lu Yun," Liang Hongyu interrupted with rising anger, "what are you doing? You’re being so rude! W-woo—we’ll tell the teacher!"
Startled by her passionate sobs, Lu Yun realized with a start that his hands were now resting firmly on Liang Hongyu’s modest white rabbits—where he had meant only to hold them gently.
Oh my goodness—he had completely lost his bearings! This was definitely going too far.
"Class president," Lu Yun stammered, trying to regain composure, "I didn’t mean to do that at all. Please don’t cry—I’ll just… I’ll take your two hands and give you a few gentle slaps as an apology."
His hands shot back with a sudden burst of energy—his heart filled with regret. Why hadn’t he thought of Xiao Ying earlier? Now, choosing her right here to compare with the class president—what a disaster!
Liang Hongyu refused to let go, still resting her head against her arms, weeping steadily.
Lu Yun felt utterly flustered, casting a glance around the classroom. Fortunately, no one had stumbled in just yet—otherwise, he’d never be able to clear his name.
Well, here he was: taking advantage and then claiming injustice! Even if he jumped into the Yellow River, the water would only grow yellower with every splash!
Seeing that his words were falling on deaf ears, Lu Yun decided on the simplest strategy—his famous "Suffering Strategy" (the “Falling-Into-Sickness” tactic).
Clap, clap, clap! He gave a sharp series of slaps across both cheeks—the sound was loud and clear.
"Class president," he insisted, almost pleading, "please stop crying—I’m begging you!"
Then came another round—more slaps landed firmly on her face. Lu Yun’s own cheeks began to swell from the force of the strikes.
The noise caught Liang Hongyu's attention; she paused mid-cry and looked at Lu Yun, whose already flushed face now bore red marks. Her voice trembled as she said: "Don’t hurt yourself anymore—I promise not to tell the teacher."
Lu Yun sighed inwardly—this was exactly what he’d hoped for. For a gentle, sensitive girl like Liang Hongyu, this “Suffering Strategy” worked perfectly.
"Class president," Lu Yun said, trying to recover his composure, "I must have gone completely crazy just now—I didn’t realize how I ended up with my hands… on you."
"I won’t be angry anymore," Liang Hongyu interrupted quickly, her eyes red and swollen, "just please—keep your voice down. If other students see this, how will I face them?"
Oh boy—he had completely overlooked that! Without telling her earlier, he’d ended up giving himself several good slaps, all because of her nervousness.
Unintentionally, he had been so much in the company of Liang Hongyu’s modesty—yet here she was, now fully immersed in embarrassment at his very own action.
By chance, Liang Hongyu had not only endured such touch before—but in the canteen and at Liu Guozi’s small store, where every girl had been a target for boys’ lingering glances, gentle touches, or even more intimate gestures—often happening in crowded settings where no one noticed.
But this was different. Lu Yun had done it openly, boldly—even with an air of subtle pressure. Now, with his hands gently moving over her chest, Liang Hongyu found herself utterly at a loss for what to do next.
Lu Yun still hadn’t touched her—instead, he moved back and forth between the two prominent white rabbits, his fingers pressing and stretching across them, only separated by one centimeter.
Biting down on her lower lip, Liang Hongyu closed her eyes and said softly: "Just… just once more—I’ll allow you to touch me that once."
Lu Yun smiled warmly. "Class president," he replied, "that’s what you promised yourself—now I’m ready to act!"
Liang Hongyu kept her eyes tightly shut, her face flushed, preparing herself for another unexpected intrusion.
Yet as time passed, nothing happened. No gentle pressure, no touch—only the steady movement of Lu Yun's fingers above her chest.
Worried, she thought: Was Lu Yun suddenly moved by compassion? Had he decided to spare her after all?
As her eyelashes trembled, Liang Hongyu opened one small eye slit—and there, Lu Yun’s bright, amused expression was clearly visible.
"Class president," Lu Yun said with a new, determined tone, "I’ve changed my mind—I no longer want to touch your little white rabbits. Instead… I’d like to kiss you."
Liang Hongyu gasped—her head immediately lowered, her voice trembling as she murmured: "Lu Yun—you’re simply too bold!"
Lu Yun had almost said something even more daring—he had just about reached for a deeper level of intimacy—but before he could finish, the classroom bell roared to life.
Oh, heavens! What a perfect timing for that sound!
Watching students file in one after another, Lu Yun cursed under his breath and finally resigned—unable to push further with Liang Hongyu’s shy resistance.
